I'll be down there too! But solo this time, I've done the +wife/kids trip many of times. Gotta add Alpine to the combo though, they fill blank growlers now.

 

I'm not a big fan of Hill's Farmstead either, I too would much rather have a good stout or IPA and of course a good Barleywine is okay too.

 

Well also got shut out on the Double Sunshine today was a little later than I need to be got there about 30 minutes early and well looked at the line and so way . But hit another bottle shop and well the shopping was great there. Doesn't anybody work anymore!

 

Oh my...I wouldn't survive....

 

Think I'd have to agree as well, with the second part at least as some HF is enjoyable

 

I missed out on Veritas unfortunately but I'll probably be making a stop there too.

 

Yah not that Hills Farmstead doesn't have good stuff usually the wait is fairly long to get growlers filled, but I haven't been since the new building was opened and they say it's improved. But might have to make the trip north if my target has them for a big want. There BBA Maple Syrup is to die for. I'd go myself just to get that.

 

Agreed that it was a long wait the old way.. With a decent size crowd , We were in and out in an hour, got our bottles and had 2 on site bottles and filled 10 total growlers.. Doesn't even feel like waiting since you get your numbered ticket and then can drink on draft and on site bottles

 

If anyone wants to meet up tomorrow, Lost Abbey around 9am-ish -> Alpine Pub/Brewery -> Alesmith -> Societe/Council

 

I will take all the Hill Farmstead then, thanks. Really though, beyond saisons, their attempt at each style is pretty close to best in class

 

I agree most styles are very good but I had there Everett Porter recently and I'll have to say it wasn't up to the quality of beer you usually get from them but that's just IMO.

 

Don't know what time I'm headed out but I'm doing a pretty similar trip on Saturday so I'm down to meet up somewhere

 

I may have got shut out (mostly my choice not waiting in huge line) for Double Sunshine but I did score some Foley Brothers Prospect today. This is a Vermont Brewery that needs more love. I'd put this beer up against anything from Lawson's or the Alchemist. And no friggin line to wait in at least yet!

 

I actually really enjoyed Everette, cant really think of any porter that was as good. I mean, unless compared to stuff with twice the ABV and adjuncts and all that

 

No, no they do not work they just go to releases and either bring mules or rent themselves out as mules #newmoney

I missed out on 18th St BA Hunter. They opened at 9am & you had to be there about 7:20am or so to get any....on a damn Friday

 

I went to the MBC Dinner release in April got there about 5:00 am was about 275 in line and then waited about 5 hours to get 12 bottles of Dinner was it good yes was it that good, no fucking way!
