Has anyone come across any yet or heard when we can expect it?

I've picked up bombers of Nelson in Jacksonville (about 2 weeks ago) and the same place has had several kegs of the various Pales/IPAs over the past month+

and it looks like South FL Total Wines have bombers of Hoppy Birthday and Duet already.

Which TW? I'm in Fort Myers but headed up to Orlando today for the weekend.

Also, I'm reading mixed reviews. What did you guys think of them?

I got a growler of Hoppy Birthday and loved it. Same goes for the bombers of Nelson that I've opened. Not a huge fan of 22oz bomber IPAs but at $8, I would buy Nelson again.

Same here. Had Hoppy Birthday and Duet on tap and in growlers and thoroughly enjoyed. The other day bought a bomber of Nelson and it was the best of the 3 in my opinion. A little pricey but would buy again.

Hey, Steve, I've had it on tap (at The Mermaid, at least ... maybe at Datz; my memory's more aluminum sieve than steel trap these days) but I'm not sure about bottles. I'll admit I haven't looked. Yet!

I thought Duet and Nelson were spot on to what I remember having previously.

    Ahh, gotcha.

Nice; you'll have a lot of good beer choices in Michigan! Happy Thanksgiving!

I went to a beer thing at Crown a couple weeks ago. It was sponsored by Green Flash and they really hyped up Alpine beers. He was going on about how it was rated in the high 90s on this website, and that everyone is always trying to get Alpine beers in trades and stuff.

Well, I had some Hoppy Birthday the other night and it's OK, but Enjoy By is way better.

It'd be great to get those in Florida. And I disagree, Enjoy By is an average IPA at best to me.

I think comparing Hoppy Birthday to Enjoy By isn't a good comparison. Hoppy Birthday is listed as an APA and only 5.25% ABV. Enjoy By is a DIPA usually around 9%. Both are very good in my opinion but they are different styles - mainly that Enjoy By is much stronger. I tried the 3 Alpine Beers that have recently been distributed to Florida. I thought Hoppy Birthday and Duet (IPA) were both really good but the Nelson was outstanding.

Emailed Green Flash inquiring about Alpine to Fort Myers area. They replied back saying that TW should be receiving 6 packs of Pure Hoppines sometime within the next week. Said Nelson and Duet may not be available until around April here.
