Whats the scoop? Can I bring beers from Public House into the stadium? Is there good draft inside? I'll be sitting on the 3rd base line, upper deck. Also, what food should I get inside the park?

Yes you can bring beers from the PH into the park. And check out Anchor plaza.

It's a bit of a hike from the Public House up there, so you'd better buy two beers to haul up. Beer is pretty good in the park, but pricey. Anchor, Sierra Nevada & Lagunitas are all available throughout the park.

Yep, Public House is great. I'd consider going there even if there wasn't a game going on. Last time I went to a game I got a Blind Pig "to go". And the beer there is a bit cheaper than in the park.

When I was there during a preseason game against the A's, I had both Sculpin and Victory at Sea at the Public House before the game. By far the best beer I've had at a baseball game.

Pro tip - for bringing beer into the game, buy a hoppy beer to start with and then a beer you don't mind warming up - barleywine, imperial stout etc. Last year I remember doing a Blind Pig and then a Parabola during a game. Was fantastic not worrying about rushing through one pig to get to the next (like many other games) and enjoying a nice sipper after the pig to start. Have fun, its an awesome baseball stadium.

Lagunitas IPA pairs well with Giants baseball.

I'll just add that Public House prices are also WAY better than the pricing at various vendors throughout the stadium. You'll get better stuff and pay less.

I'm assuming the Parabola was draft correct? Doubt you'd be able to bring a bomber into the park. Although a huge 24oz plastic cup of Parabola at a ball game would be pretty bad ass.

This is a great tip. I wonder if my brain would have kicked in and thought of this. Seeing the game on the 15th and sitting in 107, shouldn't be to far from there to grab some cold ones.

107 is fairly close, but IIRC the escalator is going up until around the 7th inning, so you'll have to use the ramp.

Yeah, it's a hike from third base to Public House with that ramp, but well worth it. They update the beer menu on line regularly. http://publichousesf.com/menu/

Going to the game tomorrow. Will have to try and find this place! Google maps basically shows it at the stadium. Where exactly is it?

    edit: nevermind, found it!

Was there yesterday. Had Magnolia Billy's Sunday Bitter on Cask, followed by Bear Republic Tartare and a Russian River Blind Pig to go. An awesome warm up to what turned out to be a good game!

That Billy Sunday is a good beer. Last time I was there bottles of Speakeasy inside the park were like $8 but beers down at PH are around $5 and change. They also had a cask of SN Torpedo the last time I was there.
Pro tip - Dont go to the game but show up at PH in like the 5th inning, not too crowded and watch the rest of the game on the flat screens. You can do this without buying a ballgame ticket.

It's remarkable how much cheaper PH is then the stadium beer vendors. And awesome.

I agree, Billy Sunday is an excellent beer, especially on a hot summer day. Even better on cask. The Tartare was a perfect choice too, given the weather.

I would definitely go to PH to watch the game on the flatscreens. It has a great vibe in there and you probably don't miss too much!
