It's really good. I hate to even compare it to Bolo because they're pretty different beers really. But it's neck & neck for me and I enjoy them both. DBC is pretty thick for a 6.5% porter, but pound for pound Bolo packs a lot of taste and aroma. Both have coconut flavor that doesn't taste fake.

I'm in Tallahassee, it's like the red headed step child of Florida, always gets stuff last.

Grabbed a 4-pack today for $16, which seems to be the highest price so far. Drank one and I'm very disappointed. Smells like suntan lotion and tastes like it too.

    I liked it.

COD 10/20/15. Pitch black pour. World class head volume, lacing and retention.

World class nose of rich coconut over milk chocolate with a hint of roast.

Light medium body with a smooth texture that hints at creamy. Slightly above normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a solid prickly finish.

The flavor profile is outstanding but coconut doesn't live up to the promise of the nose. If it did, this would be world class. It begins with a blended flavor that separates into toasted coconut over bittersweet chocolate. Roast adds a slightly bitter middle. The roast is detectable, but never comes to the forefront. In Irish stout fashion, it is a bit dry and never really becomes sweet...more of a subtle hint in the background. The finish is a slow fade of slightly bitter roast under toasted coconut with a subtle chocolate.

Then maybe they can explain the expense behind Ten Fidy? Good stuff, if you're not a wallet:wink:

The expense behind Ten FIDY is that it's an all-first runnings stout. That can't be said for all other RISs. That means they're only using about 1/3 to 1/2 the wort actually produced to make the beer in the first place. I'm not suggesting that OB doesn't have a healthy profit margin on the beer, but costs to produce it also are high.

Has this landed in Charlotte anywhere yet? I didn't think I had seen it posted on social media anywhere but maybe I missed it. Thanks!

Makes sense, I can dig it. But my wallet favors Old Chub. Ten Fidy PINT can four packs would be great.
