Atlas also has a really confounding event planned for BCBS day. They are selling a $10 ticket for a their event which includes a 5oz pour of last years BCBS from a bottle and first chance at purchasing 2015 Barley Wine.

On top of that they are having 2 raffles:

1 that you can get tickets from purchasing Goose Island beer from Atlas (oh joy) and that drawing is on the 28th. If you win you can buy one........yes one, bottle.

Each purchase of Goose Island beer from Mon Nov 23 -> Friday Nov 27, you will receive a raffle ticket. 32oz growler fills receive two tickets and 64oz growler fills receive four. In addition, if you attend either screening of Grit & Grain, you will receive four raffle tickets. You enter the raffle tickets Chinese Auction style for the particular BC style you want.

Option 2 is you enter the Charity raffle for $10 a ticket. The raffle is for a mix 4pk of Stout, Barleywine, Coffee Stout, & Regal Rye. The drawing is on December 11th. The charity is Bike Pittsburgh..........I like biking, but really?

Im really surprised any of these raffles are legal with as backwards as PA laws are. If your charging $10 for a ticket to win the right to buy something im surprised the state doesn't want there cut of that extra money they are generating for these "Rare" beers.

 

The state probably just hasn't noticed it yet. They got on Sav-More for doing raffles for cases and they're not allowed to do it anymore.

I believe the $10 event price also includes a movie. Seems very reasonable if you have any interest in said movie.
I agree about the charity though. That charity definitely sounds pretty meh to me.

 

Way to stick to your guns and spend your money there.

 

I consider the beer store a separate entity. I won't be spending money on their snake oil.
