@beerbawse ....what's the deal man? You were on just a few minutes ago so I know that you saw both @JavaNoire and I tagged you. Did your box get delivered to him or was it returned to you?

@beerbawse Exactly what does the tracking history say, including all dates? IF it was returned when did you receive it? It's wrong to start a bad trader thread & not keep people fully informed. Nor is it right to continue to let people think iatethecloudsfor had your expensive beer if you know that isn't true.

@beerbawse If you've been withholding info that exonerates iatethecloudsfor people here should know that. Iatethecloudsfor also needs that info. Additionally, he deserves an apology for your failure to bring this development to light asap. Although he's banned, he's in touch with others who are reading this.

@beerbawse it appears that was delivered (returned) & signed for Nov 10th at 3:03pm, ie before this thread was started. Did you start a bad trader thread without at least checking the tracking? Had you checked the tracking, it shows that your box began its return journey Nov 2nd.

Sooo, you were interested/worried enough that you publicly called someone out to enlist the help of the community, but you weren't interested/worried enough to just check the tracking??? That sucks.

Or...speculating here...maybe you hoped to land one of those famous sympathy boxes since the bad trader in question was banned. That's a flat out nasty speculation & I hope it isn't true. I also hope that you didn't knowingly call out someone that you knew didn't actually have your box because it had already been returned (& signed for). It's mind boggling & damned near beyond belief that you wouldn't check the tracking before starting one of these threads. Again, that sucks. Really sucks.

FWIW, that kind of public speculating is only going to fan unnecessary flames. You're right. It is nasty. It's also fine that you hope it isn't true. but by stating it aloud (well, in text), you're putting the idea out there and inviting discussion on it. Why put something like that out there?

A lot of people go out of their way to help these disputes get settled, especially you, @JavaNoire. Wild speculation like that is not helpful in sorting bad trader disputes - it's more of a call for pitchforks. We need fewer pitchforks and more problem solvers. We don't need interrogators also acting as judge and jury, requiring various levels of evidentiary proof; we need a place where a conversation can be had where bad traders are held accountable to the best of BA's ability.

The OP hasn't posted on this thread in six days... seems like the rest of the community cares more about this that he does at this point...

@benzalman that's well reasoned & very well put. I'd like it two or three times if I could.

I debated including those speculations. Ultimately I decided to include em. Given the detailed tracking info, I felt that nasty or not, others are almost certainly considering the same vile possibilities.

WHO doesn't review the tracking history before starting a bad trader thread? How many adults aren't aware of packages being lost, stolen or damaged? How many experienced traders aren't aware of the additional risks incurred when shipping beer?

Beerbawse cared enough to come here to seek assistance but he didn't care enough to even verify the package he shipped had actually been delivered?

Perhaps he's that slack & that *ahem* naive. Perhaps not. Given everything, while the speculation certainly pushed, perhaps crossed, the boundaries of taste, never mind restraint, I'm inclined to think it was appropriate.

From everything I've seen beerbawse & iatethecloudsfor are a perfect match.

There isn't much here to fix. Neither party is out beer. Neither is someone I'd trade with. I think a link should be pinned to beerbawse's profile. IF he really didn't know the box he shipped was being sent back to him Nov 2nd & was returned (signed for) Nov 10th, he certainly should have.

How do you know the tracking number or whether or not the package was delivered? Can you share the number? It's not on the thread.

I'm generally with you in what you say above - except the appropriateness, but so be it. I think you tend to be very helpful in these threads and that's important. I just thought it cheapened your point, and thus made you a bit less credible, and a bit more partisan. I appreciate you listening to the feedback.

Otherwise, let's get these two on a stadium kisscam.

@benzalman Lol. It could well be I agree with you more than myself on this. I'm not entirely certain. I don't consider myself partisan. Perhaps I don't understand how the word is intended. At this point I wouldn't trust either of em. Both have been at best slack as hell.

I've left out a lot that's not informative. I didn't include the name of the destination city because I'm not sure how small it is. Iowa has some dinky little towns that are so small you could probably get someone's ID with minimal effort. I'm erring on the side of caution.

Let me try to get this straight. You know Clayton (iatethecloudsfor), the permanently banned trader? I wish you had made this clearer when you were posting. Even if he just sent you the tracking number and/or told you his side of the story, you not making it crystal clear that you're not completely impartial is not the best choice. Especially since you starting speculating on the OP's intentions. The information you provided is useful and I'm happy you shared it with us. But it appears that both traders are have issues...

While she's quite capable of answering for herself, no she doesn't know him. I know where she got the information from, and she has no connection to him.

Good. I didn't want to believe that @JavaNoire did know Clayton. I won't ask how she got the tracking number as long as it is correct.

we need @beerbawse to chime in here...knowingly starting this thread if you had your box returned will show *very* negatively on you.

@iatethecloudsfor is a a bad tradert...but you may stink too.

@NiceBeerCans I wholeheartedly agree that both traders have issues. I wouldn't trade with either of them. TheVicster is correct. I don't know either trader. I never heard of em until I read this thread.

I think I've been fairly critical of both. I certainly intended to be critical of both. My apologies if I seem to favor one over the other.
