Anyone know how long the coffee lasted at Top Hops last year? Any chance I'd get one mid afternoon?

I'd like to know as well, it's really the only one I'm looking to grab (maybe one of the others if they're still available) ... definitely don't need Rare that badly, specifically considering the price :/

Coffee isnt worth lining up for in NYC as every Whole Foods and most beer stores that you probably already frequent will get their fair share. Coffee was a little scarce last year but nothing that couldnt be found weeks after the Black Friday release.

Can second this - I got some at Carmine a few days after Black Friday. Didn't see any Vanilla though. Anyone know what the supply of Regal Rye is going to look like this year? Comparable to coffee, or less?

Differences in prices last year though. Top Hops sold them for like $12-14 (maybe somebody else remembers exactly?), while I hit St. Gambrinus right after and got them for $8. When Ray heard Top Hops was selling it for more you could tell he was annoyed.

NJ people - I just got the Black Friday Facebook event at Cloverleaf in West Caldwell and in the event description, Cloverleaf is claiming that NJ will not see any Bourbon County until December - can anyone confirm this?

Probably correct. Depends if it is posted with the state. Might not have been posted in time this year for November.

Astoria bier and cheese (Broadway) has a bourbon county release party planned for Saturday 12/5. Couldn't get further further today but expect to have them soon.

Any idea where to find Proprietor's variant in NYC? Top Hops is not selling any on Black Friday.

Ive been told 1st in Dec as well.

This happened two years ago, it wasn't delivered in SNJ until the Monday after Black Friday. Last year they delivered it the Monday before Black Friday and most sold it before Black friday even though they were instructed not too.

In 2013, I showed up at 9:00 (at opening) and had no problem getting everything. I showed up last year, 2014, at 7-7:30, I wasn't far from missing out on Vanilla Rye. First people showed up at 5-6AM. This year will be exponentially worse.
Again, Street Green, most recently, had 300-400 people on line, 4 hour wait.

I expect the worse for the Rare hype. I can only expect needing to wait at 2-3AM in order to be first 200.

Good to know, thanks. I wasn't sure considering my luck finding any the past two years (I blame being in Vermont for too long, enjoying Heady Topper with family :stuck_out_tongue:).

Anyway I may show up to see if I can luck out and return home if the lines are insane. I do enjoy the idea behind the whole release-day hype, it's fun to be part of that, but not the difficulty to acquire it or the painful wait.

I'll unfortunately be in Binghamton NY with the in-laws this thanksgiving and have never had to buy beer in the area before. Is anyone out there familiar with a place in the area that might get some. I'm normally very against camping out black Friday to buy anything, but this year I personally will have no problem seting up camp well before black Friday and possibly staying through the weekend if necessary. Ya know, for the beer...
