So the release today was absolutely crazy!
Me and my friends got there at 11:15-20ish and the line was already huge! Before noon the line was wrapped around the parking lot almost circling up to the small shed. Just an incredible turnout! Unfortunately we missed on bottles of SaizZurp (if anyone has an extra let me know! please ), but we did get Dragonsaddle in cans!
Crowd was friendly as always and the weather was great as usual too!

The inspection is tomorrow for the liquor permit. They will start working on brews the first or second week in December to get ready. Pretty damn exciting!

The crowd was amazing today. Tacos were flying and thank goodness the cornfield had been harvested!

They ran out of cans just a few people behind me and the kegs of dragonsaddle kicked shortly there after. I got to HH around 12:30 and waited two hours, would have sucked to go home empty handed. The staff was working their butts off, hats off to them. Also, looked like some great bottle shares were going on, I will be more prepared for the next canning release.

I also heard they ran out around 3:30ish, which is crazy considering the mass amount of people there today. I totally expected them to sell out at like 1:00! Was really happy to see so many people get their share though! I got three four packs myself (split a case with a friend). It is probably Hoof's best IPA, that's for sure! Really enjoyed it.

We were there from 11:30 until like 6:30. Had a great little bottle share party going on with both new and old friends! Had a ton of food and even a nice fire. Had so many incredible beers today thanks to everyone who was involved (Chocolate Rain, Psuedo Sue, Jai Alai, Pliny, Heady, Sip of Sunshine, Duet, Broo Doo, Ninja vs. Unicorn, Oro Negro... To name only a few!). Perfect way to close out summer/fall, given the beautiful sunny 60* day we had today! Just incredible.

As of two days ago, they had cases of Sidepipin left, right up by the counter.

Really enjoyed the release party yesterday, kinda bummed that they wrapped up the canning line pretty early in the day, as I was telling a friend that went with us all about it and we assumed we would get to watch them running the machine for the better part of the afternoon. Line was huge, but weather was nice, and we shared some beers with the people in line, so all was good. Having the Altered Eats truck there was a nice bonus.
Hoof Hearted really rubs me the right way, with their sense of humor, art, attitude, the vibe of their taproom, the employees are always enthusiastic and happy, just every facet of their operation. And none of it would matter if they didn't turn out some great beers, which they do. Truly a top 5 Ohio brewery, and
Bonus points for whoever spraypainted the lines in the grass for parking. We parked right next to the giant dick art, which I found hilarious, my wife, not so much.

I had a terrible migraine by time we got down there yesterday and after waiting in line just as cans sold out I was pretty bummed, but it was our own fault for leaving Cleveland just before 1pm.

As we sat on our blanket outside the barn with our draft pours, a guy we met in line gifted us a 4pack of dragonsaddle from his case. I could not believe any one would be that generous, but Hoof Hearted is a place where dreams come true. (If you were that guy, please send me a private message so I can return the favor)

Next time I will get there early, have a good nights rest the evening before, and bring some bottles to share.

Yeah, the people that come down to the Hoof events are awesome... I think at Konkey Dong someone came in late and wasn't able to get any, so I gave him two cans before he left. Beer it forward!

How do they make a triple IPA with 11.5 percent ABV so drinkable? I'm nearly ready to call bullshit on their listed ABV.

It only took 1! I wrote that just as I opened my one and only can and had a few sips. By the end up it there was a definite effect. Crazy good beer! Dangerously drinkable at 11.5 abv.

It's crazy. I was first in line for the South of Eleven release a few weeks ago. I got there at 11:30am which was 30 minutes before they opened. Now guys are starting the line at 9am? Wow.

Back in June, they had nice crowds and they steadily grew. There was one where the crowd dissipated fairly soon with plenty of beer left. I don't remember which beer but I think it was mid-August? Cold it was that day, methinks... Fast-forward to DragonSaddle... They must have anticipated something because they moved the taps to the back wall. Besides a small wifi glitch that stopped sales for a few minutes, it went very smoothly.

The new brewery should be licensed now and they will start brewing in December. They'll work backwards aiming for releases in January when that operation will open.

They have had the taps and registers moved to the back wall for the last few releases. Allows for two lines and speedier check out times which is nice.

I anticipate MAJOR growth of HH in 2016 now that they are canning. Having family in OH I have tried quite a few of their offerings and they never disappoint. Once these cans start trading around the popularity will explode. I think the same for Bodhi and Creeper whenever the day comes. I thought Blabe was my favorite but I think Konkey Dong takes the top spot for me. It's everything I want in a DIPA.

They have been sought after the last couple of years. Since they started their canning parties in June, their growth has been almost epic. Last week's DragonSaddle party was another sellout.

The explosion has occurred. They've gone from a nova to quickly approaching Supernova.

Yeah, especially if the beer released is an IPA. The Sidepipin' and Barley a Beginner turnout was a bit weak, clearing out after about an hour or two at most... Compared to say Dragon Saddle or Blabe.

Is there a release schedule posted somewhere? The wife and I are going to be at Jackie O`s 10th Anniversary party in a couple weeks and wouldn't mind making the drive up if a can release were going on 12/6. Well, she may, but I wouldn't

Theyre canning the first of their single hop IPA series Everybody Wants Some the Sunday of Jackie O's weekend (Dec 6th). I'd think you could score some cans if you got there before 1. Its pretty far from Athens though, like 2 hours and some change, a ways north of Columbus.
