I havent seen it yet either but will be on the lookout.
Had it on draft in PA on Saturday and it was delicious.

 

When was the last double duckpin batch brewed and distro'd?

 

It's still on tap around Falls Church, but I don't know when it was brewed. Seems like a lot hit a few weeks ago. Good stuff.

 

I heard brothers resolute should hit next week. No variants tho.

 

That would be shocking, they have stated multiple times that it will not see distro. Its still for sale at the brewery though.

Well Damn regarding no resolute distro. I figured the store I spoke with was pretty reliable on distro information.

 

Whole Foods in Arlington had a tap takeover last year with Brothers. They had bottles of Resolute for sale for that day only. That doesn't mean the same will be said for this year, but it's a possibility.

 

Has anyone seen Stone Xocoveza around?

 

I just called both TW McLean and Alexandria and both said they didn't have it. More worrisome, though, is the fact that both also seemed to have no idea what I was talking about when I asked for it and their inventory systems agreed. I'm wondering if it's going in under a different name, Winter Spiced or something.

 

Most likely they just have no idea what you're talking about. I often call and ask about new releases that they are clueless on. Most of the time the people you speak with have no knowledge beyond what their computers are telling them.

Copy that thanks. Don't hate but I dig coconut brews and the one at DuClaw Brewing is pretty solid, especially at $3 happy hour prices.

 

Xocoveza sat on shelves for weeks in NoVA last year, even with all the rave reviews it was getting. I don't have any inside info, but my guess is it will be fairly available this year too. Will be disappointed if that turns out not to be the case.

Saw it at K1 a few weeks ago, it's probably still there.

 

Harry's Reserve in SE DC, also had higher math and tuxedo last time i was in on Friday

 

First, this should probably be in the DC only thread. Second, Harry's is without question the most overpriced store in DC outside of Dupont Circle.
