Last year's was sturdy, but a little ridiculous. I'd be happy with a mini snifter, but I'd bet it'll probably be a standard mini shaker or something weird like a mini mason jar.

I'm not sure if the coffee mug is the best for serving beer but I really liked it...

If you don't buy the official glass, what do things get poured in?

It comes with the ticket, no purchase necessary. It's just a little taster glass (4oz?).

The glass is included in your ticket, no extra $ needed.

I'm sorry, you lost me at "if you don't buy the...glass."

What kind of beer nerd doesn't buy the glass offered at an event? :grinning:

In all seriousness, here's a pic of last year's (obviously) with the event pamphlet rolled up inside. Wasn't necessarily my favorite style for a beer event, but it's a nice enough little cup.

While it's not the most aesthetically pleasing, it felt like there were a lot less dropped/broken glasses last year.

My only beef with the coffee mug was that it was the same glass I had gotten at GTMW that year. Would've been real cool if it was the only tiny mug I had, but... it was the 2nd tiny mug :slight_frown:

Here's hoping they don't follow GTMW's lead again this year. Hated the glassware they gave out (it was like.. a mini straight up shaker pint)

Yes a pic was released, they look like mini mason jars.

Goose can only submit 3 beers in the competition, which would be poured on the floor. In addition they set up the goose booth since they are a huge sponsor. On the floor it in 12 it was madame rose, regular bcbs, cherry.

In 13, if I recall, Prop wasnt ready. It wasnt bottled until after fobab. Initial tastings didnt have enought coconut flavor so they added a bunch more to the barrel, then they had the issue of filtering out all of the coconut oil. Had everything gone to plan it likely would have been at the goose booth, but they had to scramble to get it ready for black Friday.

Are there any food booths in the event?

There is a food table with hot pretzels and maybe...hot dogs, if I remember correctly? I only had a pretzel, so I can't remember what else was available.

Great thanks.. I am thinking even if I fill up beforehand, I still might need some food to soak up the double digit ABV beers over the course of 4 hours.

I found pizza last year in the back by where the bottles were being poured. It was a real game changer.

If they allow re-entry like last year I highly recommend a polish sausage from Jim's, which is around the corner from the Forum on Union right next to the highway. My recommendation is applicable to life, generally, but in particular when greasy delicious food is needed to soak up beer and when a fresh air break is needed after hours of steeping in beer farts and overhearing neckbeard blather.

So this is where all the crop dusting came from. I had my suspicions, but...

At this point it would be nice to have a confirmed Brewers list. Any info on that?

You may want to go back and read the thread. You know what they say, "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"
