I'm stressing (not really, its just beer, but making a point here! Keep reading..) cause Long Island seems to get the shit end of the deal on your releases lately. We got Purple Prose almost 2 weeks after the initial release. Something tells me the distributors will not have either of these beers left in 2 weeks.

Nothing Grimm can do, and I appreciate and respect all the communication you do with your customers, it rules. However, it seems that the borough stores/bars are getting first dibs and taking all the brew!

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've read on this (getting ridiculous) site in awhile and that's saying something. Who cares? Is it that big a deal? Do you think some people are more deserving of a beer than others? I hope that guy from Illinois really does fill his suitcase and maybe trades it back to you. Its just beer - do some of you really have no other responsibilities or hobbies?

When did LI get Purple Prose? It's first sighting was only 11 days ago, so I hope you just received it today.

Yesterday for most stores on LI. I know Beverage Plus in Floral Park got it in a few days ago, but that is basically Queens (less than 2 miles from the border).

Not true buddy. Other places had it earlier in Long Island. You need to work on your beer hunting skills.

I think you are in southern Nassau. Go get your Purple Prose bottles at Hicksville or Jericho.

I feel you, I feel you.

Anyway...........have you considered taking a break from the Internet for awhile? Could be a good thing.

Split my last can with a buddy the other day, fwiw, IMO, it tasted fantastic. Actually would say it was my favorite of the 3 cans I had.

IMO nobody on this site should be allowed to say "it's just beer," because some people really take this very seriously, and it's not for you or me or anyone else to tell someone else that they're taking their hobby too seriously. Nobody can tell anyone else how to feel.

Sounds like an oxymoron to me... on the one hand you're working your ass off, but on the other hand you refuse to drive more than 10 miles. Which is it?

Just to clear, I wasn't advocating a separate conversation (though by all means add me if someone starts one), just suggesting a method for people worried about "truck-chasing trolls." As far as I'm concerned I'm happy to help anyone interested enough to check a beer board (or even know about 1).

What's funny is that so many people have their panties in a wad over beers that have been readily available on draft all over the city for days at a time. Not sure why the people who don't want them traded/hoarded needs cans so badly...

because i can bring cans home? because i don't have to be at a bar? because i can get one and drink it next week? because these cans/beers on draught at NYC bars cost even more?

you are in NJ (at least I assume). would you rather spend one day in NYC and try to get some cans to maybe last you over a week or so, or come into the city every day for one beer at a bar?
