Just curious, is it customary to do the "best bottle" on Christmas and be like a really nice gift? Or pretty much whatever order the sender chooses

Alright target I'll give you a couple days. You've got many wants you have already ticked. If not taken off wants list, they are fair game to send! I'd rather send a sought after highly rated want/already ticked than an unwanted beer.

 

I sent a Christmas Eve bottle last year, and was planning to do the same

 

Even without the 'no in-state' rule I doubt you're sending to me, but as a general note, my Wants are up to date despite MANY being previous ticks (in many cases at bottle shares where I had a small pour). This is especially true for a 'Days of' BIF where I'll be drinking the beer right away.

Like @Devman171 I like the idea of a Christmas Eve bottle, but don't necessarily think the 12 Days needs to be shifted accordingly, I think it's a cool way to get a 13th day, but wouldn't be disappointed if I wasn't sent one. With that said, the original 12 Days ends on a Tuesday and with the shift it'd end on a Monday, so not really much gained or lost there.

 

I like the xmas eve idea either way you want to do it. I'm sure that I'll have a few extras to cover it. Or if you want to start on xmas eve that's cool too. There will plenty of extra beer in my targets box to cover any situation.

 

I plan to include enough extras that my target will be covered for Christmas Eve. Based on this discussion I will plan to wrap at least a few of the extras so that my target can save at least one to unwrap on Christmas Eve or they can unwrap them all when they receive the box(es). Up to them and how (im)patient they are.

Dearest target:

I have put together what I think is a quite good box, one that hits preferred styles and wants, and some unexpected treats.

I am however feeling a touch of guilt for how your head may feel the morning following some of the days. The box is complete but there is room for some adjustments. As it stands now, there are "some" High ABV 750's, and by high I mean 13.5% - 19% ish that could end up in your box. All are on point with style requests, but I don't think you know about some of them......

So target "LIKE" this post if you want me to shy away the behemoth bootles and go with more pucker. that being said..........pucker is clearly present as it stands now.

This is your chance to help determine your fate. So to speak. And also, FWIW I have discussed your box with a few other BA's and they think I should go with it as it...................and that you would be "happy" with it.
