2015 Michigan BCBS & Black Friday Thread

I heard store owners will be giving it out motherbird style. You have to buy a 6 pack of ogden or 312 also in order to be eligible.

It is solely based on GI sales according to our state's rep, I was skeptical

 

Going to be a mess due to the increased size in bottle. I told the distro due to them being 12-pack 16.9oz they would have to get me double the amount of cases as last year to cover the same amount of people, ounce for ounce there is less beer available because of the bottles. It also drops how many people will be able to get it, at one bottle limits.

 

Care to share any tips on shops or bars in Kansas City that had bcbs and events last year? I live in Austin, TX and will be in Kansas City for Thanksgiving visiting in-laws and don't really know any good bottle shops, beer bars, etc...

 

Not on Friday that I know of but there are a few that have some the following week

 

MI is definitely a little slow on the uptake when it comes to BCBS...

 

Crunchys in east lansing has had all the variants and a vertical on tap in previous years. Looks like they are doing it again, but beers to be announced.

Best part is that there's not than many people at college bar in a college town on black Friday.

 

Well there is a good strip about 25-30 minutes from EL. Could be a selling point. Plus MSU plays at home va PSU that weekend too.

 

Is that confirmed? I was there a week or two ago for food prior to a MSU basketball game (conveniently on the night that they tapped CBS), and the manager said that they didn't really have any plans, but hey they do have a couple of interesting kegs sitting around, so maybe some sort of plan will develop. Anyway, they haven't announced anything concrete that I've seen as of yet.

Doubtful. Crunchy's annual Founder's tap takeover is always hyped. This year CBS lasted 4 or 5 hours and KBS lasted until the next day. And that's when students were all over, which won't be the case on Black Friday.

 

Well, it was pretty laid back last year, so if it's a mess, I'm holding you personally responsible...

Decided I am hosting thanksgiving. Which puts me in town for BF now

 

Turns out that I'm going to be in China, MI for Black Friday (near St. Clair). Can anyone clue me in on where some BCBS could be found on that side of the state? I'm assuming my local spots in Oakland county will be out by Saturday morning. PM me if you don't mind helping!
