Troegs is releasing a new beer called Solid Sender Ale. Their new year round, copper ale with pine and citrus hop notes.

Speaking of Troegs. Did their Double IPA not get bottled? Or was it released as a scratch series?

The one they released last week was not bottled, but it wasn't really bottle-worthy anyway. The previous one, dubbed Nimble Giant, was bottled and sold out quickly, but it is slated to return in the near future.

For those who like it, Impending Descent should be making its annual appearance soon as well.

 

I heard a rumor that some places were getting it in today/this week. I know Philly got it last week or early this week.

 

All the Bourbon County madness has me thinking, I still have a '14 BCBBW for you in my basement @troygreer .

Haven't seen you in a while.

I'm of two minds about growlers. While I do love the flip top 32oz growlers, I find them to be the most clunky. My personal faves are the 32oz medicine bottle/stubby screw top growlers. Keeps carb well, and fits on every shelf in my fridge.

 

Do you prefer the fat-bottomed Russian River/Hill Farmstead variety, the fancy long-armed swing top kind, or the straighter, utilitarian models? For me, it really depends.
