@riemster Thanks for your suggestion. I had dinner at the brew pub last night, the place looked great, the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Tried both the original Total Eclipse and the BA version. Sadly they were out of the blackberry, which sounded delicious, but I also enjoyed the sucheys?(the dubbel). All in all I am ready to go back with a couple of friends and dip into some other tryings. I almost forgot, managed to get me and my friends some bottles of the BA Total Eclipse, which I was informed will be seeing distro on Black Friday.

Sold out super fast! Was one of the main reasons I went and then I missed out. Only 50ish or less people got a bottle.

Anyone try Sherry Ink yet? I see I'm the only review posted so far which shocks me. They sold out of bottles (taproom only) in less than a week, so I thought I'd see reviews trickle in. I was very impressed and think it's the best barrel aged beer to come out of Cincy so far. Anyone sitting on bottles waiting to drink them?

If you get really lucky, you get in toward the back of the line, get shut out when they "run out of bottles," then buy them next year at Hoppin' Frog at $80 for on-site consumption only.

I just drink their Gangster Frog, BORIS/DORIS and BA BORIS/DORIS here in Cincy and no problems down here! Glad I don't have to deal with the tap room nonsense.

Haven't heard folks talk much about JAFB/Wooster Brewing lately, but I stopped by yesterday since I was in the area for business. Their Rain Delay IPA is as good or better than any IPA you'll find in Ohio. Their ESB, Helles, New Stout, Abbey Dubbel, & Belgian Gold were all great representations of their respective style. The Mean Bourbon Bean Stout and the BBA New Stout with Coffee were just ridiculous.

Although I have Fathead's & Brew Kettle in my back yard, I think Paul quietly continues to be one of the best and most well rounded brewers in Ohio. Definitely worth making a trip to try out his world class beers.

I just stopped by on Monday too. Looking forward to Stunt 18 soon.

How many places sell craft beer by the case? I just swooped a case (24) Sierra Nevada 'Celebrations' for $26.99... $28.88 total w/tax for 24 fresh hop brews. I'm a ticker to the max. But $27 is a game changer.

Holy shit. That's a steal for an amazing beer.

How come we don't see more 'case' sales? I tried to see if other places could 'price match' but they literally have to be specifically packaged by the case (24 individual slots and not 4 6 pack cartons) otherwise retailers would be breaking state minimum pricing. Would love to see more by the case sales!

Hop over to Pennsylvania. All you can find there is cases!

    New to Ohio...

Avery Raspberry Sour and Avery Twenty Two Wild Ale!! My rep said these weren't even supposed to hit here, but Avery wants a bigger presence in Ohio. Works for me!

I love Rain Delay so much. I just haven't worked out there in awhile. I loved driving down the street when I get off work to have a pint and take some growlers home.

Avery Raspberry was a nice surprise. I was excited to see it in Chicago over the weekend and then it randomly appears in Ohio. Awesome.

I think the best BA beer to come out of Cincy was the Death Valley Shootout from 50 West. Easily as good as CBS was to me.

My .02. I mean, unless you want to open my eyes to it

I did a few months back. A buddy of mine brought it back from vacation with him. Almost like a Sour version of Blushing Monk. Another awesome Avery beer! Loved it.

Good point. I guess I mean "best packaged barrel aged beer from one of the 'big two'". I'm a 50W fanboy, so I try to check my bias at the door with them.
