Why can't they brew this damn beer right!?

I think DC Brau has a canning problem. A number of people, myself included, had issues with Solar Abyss cans leaking at the seam at the top. A buddy also had issues with the last batch of Wings where several cans were flat.

Agreed, probably 2-3 leaky cans from that case

Met a DC Brau employee at Resolute weekend last weekend, told him I got 5 cases of Solar Abyss, and his first question was, any cans leaking? I told him none of the cans I opened did, but one I shipped to NJ and 1 I shipped to Cali leaked and was flat. I shipped 3 of the 5 cases off to friends around the country, and of the 5 cases, 2 outta 120 cans ain't too bad...but leaking, flat beer sucks especially when it goes to a long time trading partner.

First time stopping by Norm's on FW drop day. Small cohort of men steadfastly waiting for the truck to arrive, one with a baby in a stroller. Let's have some self-respect, people.

    And . . . . ?

What was his response? How has DC Brau resolved the problem? Etc.

Has to be NRG, Jack Rose, Dominion, etc. right?

Was it a guy with black hair pushing the strolling, by chance?

I didn't take that close of a look. I quickly perused any new stuff, grabbed a couple of bottles, and saw myself out. I suppose I value my time more highly than other people.

Heh I hear ya. I've given up on trying to get anything remotely limited from Norms; camping out waiting for the delivery truck just seems silly. Was just curious because a guy I know tends to do that over there, and he recently had a new-born, so... I wanted to know how much shit I should give him. :stuck_out_tongue:

In their defense they are probably using the time they save not going onto BeerAdvocate message boards and writing about how lame all the people who wait in line for beer are

Well, in my defense, posting on BA takes me about 30 seconds, versus waiting for 30+ minutes (based on the ETA of the truck when I swung by). So I suppose I value that 29.5+ minutes more highly.

I was going to say...weren't you doing the exact same thing as them? Looking to get some solid beers on your lunch break?

I mean at least they were just standing in line. When Hopslam comes around some of those guys have bottle shares in their van waiting for the truck.
