I guess I missed that. So the essay was to become a part of the "extended family" and only those in the extended family can buy tickets to come to releases?

No. Anyone can buy a ticket for a release. EF members are just guaranteed bottles from each release and also a special stonefruit bottle at some point. You are still good for attending the releases bud

Not sure if you're on Facebook, but if you are, just follow Casey's page. Troy will usually announce what bottles he's releasing a week or so before the release. And usually Tuesday or Wednesday before the release, there will be a Brown Paper Ticket sale for tickets, and it's open to the public to buy one. The $20 you pay goes to charity. By doing that, it guarentees ticket-holders the stated allotment of beer so there's no need to camp out at his place the night before and worry about whether or not you'll make the cut (no pun intended).

Only buy a ticket if you plan on going though. If you buy a ticket and don't go, you are ineligible to attend the next release. Because you've essentially taken the opportunity from someone else to buy a ticket and attend that release.

Thanks guys for all the help, sorry for all the noob questions. I knew about the tickets, but I didn't understand what the extended family thing was. I will get hooked up with Casey on Facebook and further educate myself.

Not sure if this has been mentioned earlier but is Casey cash only?

No. When you pick up your bottles, you swipe a card on one of those iPad readers and sign with your finger. At the bar (bottle pours and merch) you can use either card or cash.

No, it is not cash only.

Though, just remember if you leave your card at the bar, it's not the same system as the bottles, so you need another card.

Like other mentioned, not cash only, but keep in mind you'll need your card for bottle purchases and a different card if you want to run a bar tab. Cash is helpful at the bar if you just want pours and to close out right away.

Definitely has become a bit more sour with some of time, but i still got a decent amount of fruitiness, especially pineapple when it warmed up a bit. still drinks great and is an all time favorite of mine, so happy I still have 4 left

Spoke with Troy at the last release, sounds like there will be some more brett loves citra available at that release, as well as a brett loves mosaic, which made me very excited. definitely holding on to a bottle i have to vert with the next round coming out

Any word on the Side Project collab? I asked Troy this summer, and he said maybe October which obviously didn't happen.

Didn't come up in our conversation, and doesnt look like there will be anything like that in December either, but would be ready to jump all over that if it ended up happening. Curious to know if he has any intention of expanding his collabs outside of just the aspen/glenwood area this year.

Has he done any collab beers that have been fruited? im thinking back now and all I can think of are biere de garde, brett loves citra, and hop mess for collabs, dont think he has worked with anyone outside of house for the fruit beers.

Can't even imagine how ridiculous a casey/de garde fruit collab would get

The SP collab is fruited (white peaches) and October was when it was put onto said fruit, so no chance it wouldn't been released then. Troy said back in August (IIRC) that he'd like to do something with Crooked Stave since he's literally the only person Chad hasn't collaborated with in the state.

Hmmm, sounds like the SP collab would pop up early next year then, January or March perhaps? Really hope its not until March as theres no way im getting up for the January release and a white peach brew with side project sounds immense

Thanks for the info on the SP collab. I may have misunderstood Troy, and he was actually saying it was going on fruit in October.

Anyway, really happy the ticketing system will be in place for that one.
