    Always include at least 2 extra's...try to make them regional(I personally don't LOVE many local MD beers, but I like a lot of the PA/VA/NJ beers) - unless told not to. I started checking my trade partners wants about 5-6 trades back as I was new/green to trading and have been able to hit a few since. I've only had to go to a store to buy extras once, in part because I've got over 100 bottles 'lying' around and mostly because I work full time at a liquor store.

    I've gotten extras in basically every box I've received(sans trades where indicated no extras and one trade from a different non beer forum)

    After a couple hundred trades I am over extras. It is not worth it due to the price of shipping now a days. I am always upfront about this from the start of the trade. I also don't rate beers.

    Barring one circumstance where I stated up front I had a 3bottle styro shipper on hand I could fill with specific shelf beers the guy was looking for, I always send extras, up to whatever fills my styro shippers. If im sending three bottles, I'll upgrade to a six etc.

    Also +1ing the not checking wants usually, as I haven't bothered setting my own up.

    My first two trades I didn't send any. But then I started including them for the heck of it.

    Build some beer karma I guess. I try to include local brewery stuff too (the latest has been southern star brewing coasters)


    I always like to send some form of Jester King as an extra, I love 'em and want to expose JK to the rest of the Continental US. :slight_smile:

    Don't really care if I don't get any in return, but it's always nice to see something in there you want or didn't ask for.

    Out of 295 votes only 3 people usually don't send extras and there was that one person who never does.

    I wonder if this 1 person lives in Vermont, I think I traded with him recently. He doesn't send thanks either, (even though I sent more extras than trade bottles), and packs like shit even though he is an "established" trader. Don't bother checking my profile page, he isn't, and won't be, listed.

    This was always something I was curious about when trading. I was kind under the impression that you should send extras. I don't really have a cellar so any extras I would send would have to be extra that I would buy. Obviously that costs money and is kind tough at times. I wasnt sure if people would mind or not if I traded without extraing... its kind kept me out of it. I dont want to get a reputation of a crappy trader

    The only time I didn't send extras I sent the guy 6 king Henry's so I thought that's good enough! I try to send small Iowa breweries to help their names get out.
