Happy birthday youngster.

 

Happy Turkey Beer Day, BA's! Just after 11 here in cool, sunny NOVA & I'm heartened to see some early turkey posts - keep 'em comin', give us your worst! By hook or by crook, this day in WBAYDN is gonna be historic!
Without further ado, my first entry into today's pantheon of pathetic-ness:

I've enlisted the help of Comic Book Guy to help me endure some of these worst beers ever today - we begin with Starr Hill's absolutely abysmal, complete misfire, failure of a trainwreck of a nightmarish poop of a so-called 'Stout'.

This stuff is pure garbage. It smells of spiced 'Tussin & tastes like the most artificial, rotten cherry-like flavor that you can imagine. Any trace of chocolate most closely resembles the cheapest, most Godawful chunk of crap candy ever created. The feel of this beer is closer to a mid-weight Lager than an Imperial Stout - I'd say that it goes down easy, but that'd be a lie Huzzah!

Now, to drive the point home - I give you the worst album ever recorded:

Honestly, I have to agree. I guess if I'm being generous I might call them avant-garde, rather than bad. Definitely one-of-a-kind :-)

 

Left Hand Milk Stout before work. Dreading having to snow blow later tonight. Hand got stabbed with a nail from a pallet last night so need to get a tetanus shot today.

It's a lovely Saturday!

 

Per usual for my Saturday, up early and on the saddle. 43 miles in the books.
Say what you will about NorCal (our beers aside) but can't beat the weather and views


Back home and enjoying this for the first time, thanks to @Hopgoddess312 , canned 10/27. Perfect beer to wash the taste of Black Ops out of my mouth with

 

New brewery, new beer. Kansas Territory Brewing Locomotion Stout.

Once upon a time King U was thought to have been the worst band ever:


But eventually, and thanks to the internet many years later, it was discovered that it was all a hoax recorded by Cub Koda (I believe?) pretending to be this 'undiscovered' garage band from the 60s.

I still have the vinyl, fwiw, but the music doesn't sound as good when you know it's not authentic. Strange how that works...

 

Hey again, BA's! Now about noon here in sunny NOVA & I'm back with entry #2 for today's Turkey Beer festivities! From here on out, I'll be using my 'You guys ready to get weird tonight' shaker pint - as things will indeed be getting weird tonight
Anyhow, onward:

My second turkey beer is DFH's putrid Tweason'ale.

I think I know how they made this beer. It's a base of unfiltered swamp water with strawberry-flavored kid's cough syrup. Then they added what I imagine a packet of Sweet'nLow would taste like if it died. It smells like strawberry rubbing alcohol & tastes like wood chips & ...whatever fear tastes like. If there is actually honey in here, all it's adding is a grody, grandular quality that makes me shiver.
