As for the two guys buying cases each... not cool. It made the 3 bottles I got seem like a drop in the bucket, but I should probably reserve my judgement.

 

I would run down there but I figure Top Hops is going to have their fair share so I'll save myself the subway ride lol

 

I wonder what the line up times are going to be for there. I've been hearing some CRAZY shit

 

Also, if they are getting that much, I'd guess there will be plenty of regular to go around. It'll probably Coffee and Rye that are the really hard ones to find.

Not including Rare, of course.

 

Yeah, they had 2013 regular around for almost an entire year. They had 2014 regular around for several months I believe. I'll prob do a bit of hunting for the variants, but regular is not hard to find in NYC

 

Going to try Ramsey but no luck so far in NNJ for me.

 

Just out of curiosity, will stores really get in trouble for selling before Black Friday? Is this Goose Island's rule? I'm not sure they could really police it anyway.

I'll. be in central NI visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday and unable to grab any from my normal shops in STL. Trying to confirm if it will even be released on Black Friday ( read a thread that suggested it wouldn't be) and where I'm likely to come across it.

Any help is appreciated - plenty of Perennial, Side Project and other mid-west favorites to go around for the right tip.

There seems to be some stores that are selling it now but I've been told by a few people that most of NJ won't see it until the week of Dec 1. Not sure if you will have the time or the means to get there but NY and Pennsylvania will both be releasing on Black Friday. I could give you some names of places if you want. Just shoot me a PM. @EWR2STL

 

Looking at that photo a case doesn't really seem like all that much; it's pretty much the same as buying 4 4-packs the previous way.

 

The point is..it's a super market..and the guy should know that even though he COULD buy that much..doesn't mean you SHOULD..especially for something with limited availability..i could have bought a shitload..i didn't buy any..about not being a greedy asshole..that's the problem with most people today..they only care about themselves and what they can get..f**k everybody else

 

I'm still confused as how to this store is selling the beer prior to the initial black friday release? I thought GI sold their beer to the distributors with the explicit instructions that the beer cannot be sold until black friday? Did something change in the last 11 months? Didn't we have an issue last year where someone who worked for a supermarket accidentally sold BCBS prior to black friday and got fired?

I guess I'm still not getting the 'limited availability' part. It's essentially a seasonal in NYC, and will most likely be available till spring if it's like the past few years.

 

Indeed. And "limited availability" beers from Chicago don't show up in a stack of cases at a grocery store with no limit.

 

Definitely available in NNJ this was today's haul... not pictured are the two I already drank.

 

Because New York City? How long have you lived here? Kinda the norm.
