Was just catching up and saw your other post. The bottles are so similar that I didn't notice. And 26 bottles of Deschutes plus No Rules plus FF Double Hop Beard aren't helping...

People liked the No Rules so well that someone came over and gave me a hug just for bringing it. That shit is ridiculously good.

 

I took the bottle @NJB145 ninja'd me with to one of the annapolis shares and one guy liked it so much he got a second taster and sat on and sipped his ~4oz pour over the course of probably 3 hours haha

I loved that beer too

 

Thankfully Perrin just posted the other day that they are brewing it again....hopefully there's already some in barrels that comes out before this batch.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it!

#VBS... first beer after a few days of being bedridden.

This is just way too sweet to solo a 12oz bottle of. It was very cherry forward at the event on draft and having it as a 3oz pour didn't seem unreasonable, but I'm only ~5 oz into this bottle and I'm half tempted to drainpour the rest. Not because it's awful, but just because it's way too sweet. Definitely a beer to share, unless super sweet is your thing. On the other hand, on draft I felt it was very cherry forward and not much chocolate present, but in bottle with time for it to warm a bit the chocolate comes through quite a bit on the finish, giving it a decent flavor. Just, again... way too sweet

 

I ended up with a spare bottle of No Rules, it will be making a cross country trip to a Local who I believe hasn't had it yet very soon.

Have you had regular and/or lemon, and if so, how does this compare to your recollection of those two? From my memory of those two, this one was far weaker, but still a very good beer, as you said.

The day they put lemon on tap again...

 

I haven't had Farmer's Reserve Grand Gru, but this Dogpatch Grand Cru is fantastic.

 

It was the favorite of the epic bottle share I took it to as well. Despite the shitty label.

 

Shitty label? The label is the entire reason I brought it!
