Greenbacks is very good. This version a bit different than version in spring. Spring version was amazing.

East Park Beverage, yet again. That guy insist they sell it to them but it definitely isnt true. One of the guys told me his friends uncle owns part of OH.

They consistenly talk about how they have beef with Monarch but I've never heard anyone from Monarch say that. Dude is paranoid.

Speaking of Monarch... They have Finback cans when they come out and the beer buyer claims that he, unlike those "other guys," politely asks if he can buy a case or two for the store besides his personal allotment. Instead of just muling cans for resale. The words East Park Beverage were not spoken but he definitely insinuated that someone nearby was doing it.

I picked up a growler of greenbacks. Was really good but I agree with you that the spring batch was better. I missed the Simcoe by a half hour or so. Grabbed the max of hop showers. Solid brew.

Yup. This is actually the first time I've been in the place, I thought it was strictly a liquor store before yesterday. The guy definitely seemed sketchy when I asked about it.

While Monarch may be on the expensive side, they get good stuff and recognize regulars.

I'm stoked that the can releases are more or less back to normal. I dipped in around two, no line and a fair amount of cans left. I really wasn't sure if I'd go back after the SG release, but I was in the hood anyway on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised.

Did they end up selling out of everything Saturday or is anything left? I could do more Simcoe.

They're out of Simcoe - look higher up on this page. They tweeted at 6:37 on Saturday that they had 35 cases of Hop Showers left, but I'm not sure if it sold out yesterday.

I have been to three releases. Oct 9th, 23 and this past saturday. Each time bright and early. Each time unneccessary. Im going to start going at 2pm and saving myself getting up so early

They still had a bunch of cases around 4 pm yesterday, but not about after that.

Hop Showers is absolutely one of OH's best IPAs. Simcoe is my least favorite single hop (in order: Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado, Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe) of the ones I've tried. Very, very excited for whatever lighter version of Diamonds gets released - that is one of the all-time best DIPA for me, and it's just a touch too boozy. So this should be up my alley.

While a number of them are smudged and make me sad, I'm very happy with the Hopline Bling!

It's worth noting though that the limits were 2/3 what they would have been "regularly" on each. With case limits on each they probably would have sold out considerably sooner!

Well, I did manage to get some Street Green on tap over in Hell's Kitchen at some sort of really kickass beer bar. Damned fine beer.

The street great is an awesome beer. That line was brutal though. I got there at 8:15 and was out at 1230. Still have 5 cans left but that was a one and only time for me waiting for any beer that long.
