Finback Brewery (2018)

I picked it up in Brooklyn, dont think they had a limit on it.

 

Anyone heard any updates on the BQE release? Limits/date?

A "Save the Date" from @finbackbrewery: Barrel-Aged BQE and Oscillation 02 will be released on Sunday, 12/13 at the brewery.

 

Interesting--last date they provided was the weekend of 12/4

 

What size growlers do they fill and what are typical costs?

 

Did we ever get confirmation on BQE? I've seen both 12/5 and 12/12

I might be wrong on this, but I thought I saw 12/4 for the release of BQE and their insta show that they put BQE in barrels for the BA version and it says see you in 2016.

 

Whoops I was wrong. Comment on that insta post says release is dec 13th. That's prob the new batch.

 

Yep. 2015 BA BQE confirmed for next weekend (12/13) along with cans of Oscillation 002. Gonna miss this one.

how do the these releases typically go? I assume many will be at Kane instead, but should I expect something like similar to a "normal" (AKA not street green) OH release?

 

I doubt it will be too insane. Probably a good showing but I it'll be the sort of thing that you get shut out of if you arent on line before opening.

Can anyone confirm if they are distributing the BA BQE this year to the local shops like last year?

 

Was curious about this as well. I don't recall the release last year--just remember grabbing a couple of bottles around the city. I would suspect that since it was largely unknown/when Finback was really a new brewery, if there was a release, not many people went to it--so they sent bottles out for distro

 

The Facebook event says "nyc only available at brewery"
It also says 4 bottles pp at 15 each, 16 per 4 pk oscillation and 85 per case. No mention of limit but I assume that just means one case limit.

 

did anyone go last year? is it an instant sellout or does it last past the 1st hour? I'd guess this batch was bigger. both cuz 4 limit and no distro. worst case I'll get it on draft at least if I don't make it in time. still have last year's bottle so would love to crack both together.
