Not too shocking in context. I assume $30 is roughly similar to the average South End resident's daily budget for artisanal small-batch gluten-free dog treats.

Man, just give up the store already. You and your buddies have already had time to get your bottles

Maybe it's Julio's, I'm sure they would sell BCBS for little markup and release it to everyone

I was planning on calling places tomorrow to see if they were doing Black Friday releases, thinking that they would definitely have received their shipments by then, but I guess it's time to call around since it's already out there.

Can confirm that they still had plenty of regular at $12 each still but said they'd sold out of coffee and barleywine.

People sleep on the regular and it is the best of them all.

Not Julio's. They tend to stick with Black Friday (or have in the past). Their beer guys have told me before that they actually don't get as much BC as other places because they actually don't do as much overall InBev volume as other stores.

It's often those out of the way stores that do tons of Bud/Bud Light that get surprising amounts of Bourbon County (and have it available for weeks/months after black friday). Don't nessecarily blow off a store that doesn't have a huge craft beer section.

I honestly find Julio's pricing to be fair in general and especially on limited stuff like this... even better if you get the mixed 6 discount on single bottles. They had some of the best pricing on KBS when I've managed to get some there, for example.

I know that about the Bud stuff, but I always question where those places would even be, especially if their craft selection is mediocre usually. And Julio's pricing can be a bit odd to me; their craft 12 packs are usually fair and their sales on 6/4 packs can be pretty good, but then some bombers are just crazy priced, especially since I will check Wegmans before I go(is the BCBS store Wegmans Northboro?). For example, Stone bombers that were $8 other places are $10-11 and I remember seeing Blushing Monk for like $19 when the standard was $15. Also, they are the go to for a lot of people, which results in uncommon beer being sold really quickly, so I'll avoid based on that. For what it's worth though, the staff is really nice and knowledgeable there and their selection is great, but I don't necessarily go out of my way to shop there.

And if they don't then it is. We'll see soon! Cheers!

Yeah, I picked up a couple more bottles myself today. With GI suggesting pricing of $10/bottle, I don't mind $12/bottle pricing at a liquor store in Boston at all.

Highly recommend Fort Point Market. Whenever I stop at Trillium, I always make a point to stop in here as well and there's usually something I want. They get a ton of craft beer, lots of local stuff and they do have quite a bit of cooler space to keep things cold... Great underrated store there.

What is the utility of declaring it's out there and refusing to share where? The thread isn't "tell us about that one time you bought Bourbon County and no one else did." If you found it and don't want to tell people where, just keep it to yourself.

While it's not all of the information you may want, I think the following points of information were directly applicable and helpful to this thread:
    • That it is confirmed to be available before Black Friday on a limited basis (so keep an eye out).
    • Pricing info.
    • What varietals are starting to show up.

Anyone looking for it at Fort Point market - it is on the front counter. I saw a couple folks wondering around aimlessly, I think they were likely looking for it on the shelves. I passed for YEMS

I think Fort Point now gone. Unless there was more in the back, I picked up the last two on the counter.

Fort Point Market is great. I debated buying some BCBS when I was there yesterday but opted for YEMS instead as well. Its a pretty unique stout at a fair price. Glad that CBC is putting their beers in 750's now that they are bottling at Mystic.

It more seems like bragging that you can get it before anyone else. I think the point of this forum is to help others find the beer they're looking for, not just say it's available somewhere in MA at location unnamed.
