Dude. It'll be in and out. No time at all. The only thing I'm kinda worried about is the time it will take to fill the two growlers though. That could leave a window for people to catch on and realize what I'm up to. Still working on that part.

Shorter on time, not distance. It has been a 35 minute(ish) trip when I do 79 briefly and then 376, but when I snake my way through South Park or McKeesport or Bethel, it usually runs 45+.

I mostly just thought it was funny because typically taking a highway between two somewhat distant locations would just be considered the default. I usually think of shortcuts as sneaky unknown backroads routes.

Just wait until you call somewhere asking about BCBS and they tell you that they don't sell bourbon.

I remember some people asking about Lindeman Cuvee Rene Kriek and Spontanbasil. It looks like the US will be seeing them in February or March. I love Cuvee Rene Kriek. It really a great beer.

Maybe some day @tommyguz and @shuggy can be friends. I think I saw that the antagonist @tommyguz and his long time nemesis @RyanMcFly1985 are civil. Rumor they even agreed a beer from each others respective state was tasty

One of you bastards had Xocoveza in your cart right after the lady there said she would hold it for me last night. Apparently you put it back if it's still there today? I found some closer to home for $61.25. Shadyside had 12 or so with a 2 bottle limit.

Had some a while ago at ho1kb with @OneDropSoup and @PierreBrun fresh from Belgium. Worth trying a sip, or two, if you like basil.

Was just scanning the other Mid-Atlantic threads regarding BCBS and it is seriously just out there sitting in bundles on shelves as we speak in just about every northern city except for Pittsburgh. Some guy bought 6 cases of it for himself. Unreal.

Anyone feel like the shortage of BCBS here may be a product of their sale to ABInBev? There's no "Goose Island rep" here - GI products are represented by the local ABInBev brand manager, who may or may not know or give a damn about that particular brand. If they have a thousand other accounts to worry about supplying with Bud, could it be that they've just overlooked BCBS or aren't worrying about it?

I really have no idea how the distribution works, but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if the local beer managers outside of Randy don't know squat about the Bourbon County line. I feel like my own mother knows more about BCBS from me talking about the beer to her than 90% of the employees working in any bar/bottle ship/beer distributor in Pittsburgh.

    Yup. Blows my mind sometimes.

I probably need to take a step or two back from the harder to get bottles and appreciate what we do have. Holidays can be stressful enough without having to worry about what ungodly time I need to be in line in order to have the chance to purchase a $20 bottle of beer.

All the more reason not to chase trucks though, if you trade. Everything short of Prop and Rare should be pretty easy to trade for.
