I'm traveling for Thanksgiving and will be in San Francisco and I'm looking up options for the Bourbon County release. It looks like it'll only be available here at City Beer Store: http://citybeerstore.com/events/. I talked with them on the phone and they say they'll definitely have regular, coffee and barleywine and most likely the Regal Rye and maybe something else (I'm assuming maybe a handful of bottles of Rare).

Anyone else know of any good places for the release? And has anyone been to the City Beer release? Is it worth going? The guy on the phone said last year he arrive at 8am (1 hour before the 9am release) and the line was already around a block.

    Thanks!

All of the BevMo stores will have cases of the regular BCBS; not sure about variants.

Ale's Unlimited put up a pic on Facebook, so they definitely got some. No mention of variants or quantity though

The line will be nuts at CBS. Last year people were camped out the night before, and I would expect the same if they have Rare. So if you want to wake up at dawn, it's a good choice

I was told by them they would have the whole lot of variants. Didn't say how much. And yeah, camping out is gonna be nuts. Wanted to do it, but I don't think I'll be around Thursday night and I figure showing up on Friday will be too late for Rare. Best of luck to anyone that tries!

I scored plenty of bcbs and the variants around the Bay Area last year at a few totally random spots. No camping gear required. Just poke around a little bit, should be fine.

Heard that it's going to be the same as last year with variants hitting a week or two after initial release. City beer will have them all on Friday though

Willows posted they have 5 cases of Rare. They are doing a BCBS event this Wednesday. No bottles to go though.

Any idea what time the Willows event starts? I'll be flying in tomorrow and would rather avoid City Beer Store for my chance to try this year's variants.

If anyone wants BCBS out in the Brentwood area, the Safeway on Balfour has it for sale now. $9.99 each, or $9 if you buy 6 or more

Can of Street Green for anyone who reserves me a small pour of Rare at The Willows tonight...? I won't be able to make it until about 7pm or so.
