Go local and try to keep it open to everyone, that's what I am going to do for my wedding. Won't be limited to one keg though...

Im doing budlight and other domestics.. there are no beer geeks at my wedding at all.. and my venue is less than a block from founders brewery :slight_frown:.. no point in blowing money on something people wont appreciate or drink.. Also i had a great opportunity because i could bring alcohol into my venue but it just doesnt make sense to go craft with the wedding party im having..

but im drinking.. GI Rare, GI Vanilla and Big John so far for my wedding night

Don't forget Lakefront, their IPA and Octoberfest are decent and come in 1/6 bal....I tried to get Great Lakes Octoberfest through Discount last week, was informed I was too late. New Glarus offerings are also awesome, everyone loves local!!!!

I am planning a wedding in October, ended up going the bottle route so as to waste as little beer as possible.

Bell's Pale or Moron (Oberon--a friend calls it moron because it goes down so easily, hence the resulting outcome!).

24 years with the same babe for me! Marriage is a great thing with the right person!

I hope those are for after the reception. Don't want to be the drunkest person at your own wedding. Leave that to someone like me.

we demolish one keg of SN Summerfest at the annual backyard party/jam band/bbq and have been for a few years. everybody seems to enjoy that beer. it goes fairly quickly against the ST IPA.

i vote SN Summerfest if it is available.
    Cheers.

I was supposed to have four beer geeks at my wedding but none are coming so the plan was to have the whole GI series.. The Rare will be cracked for sure though.. Im debating on going with low alcohol sour beers for most of the night.. also im bringing some beers to my honeymoon in aruba

Lots of good suggestions up there, I went with Heavy Seas Gold, and Small Craft Warning.

Did you even read the OP? This isn't if you could get a keg for a wedding what would you get. He lives in WI!

This^ or Totally Naked if you want something flavorful but unoffensive to the BMC drinkers. If new glarus kegs are available.

I would definitely go with New Glarus on this one. When I've been to WI it seems everyone in any part of the state can at least tolerate NG brews. I'd choose Spotted Cow or Two Women, as those are most likely going to appeal to everyone. Actually, just get a keg of Two Women, it's the better of the two.

Honestly I would just get some macro lager keg for the masses and bring bottles of special stuff for myself and those that would appreciate it.

I believe WI is the one place where you can have a keg of NG (spotted cow, two women, etc) and everyone will drink it with no problem. Spotted cow is the best selling draft beer in WI for like 4 years now!

Another vote here for Moon Man. It's modestly hopped and should be enjoyable to craft beer fans as well as those who usually drink BMC.
