G-Will in Lino Lakes just got in 11/17 cans.

 

So Bauhaus released a beer called Winterloper Baltic Porter. Is this the same beer as Jingle Fever? The ABV and IBUs are the same so I assume they had to rename the beer. It is not listed on their website.

 

Yes it is. New name.

 

I was told by a brewery rep that it is the same beer. They changed the name primarily because Christmas themed beers (Jingle Fever) don't sell well once Christmas is over. They wanted it to be more of a winter seasonal so it can sell better through all winter months.

 

Got a Founders Project Pam at Chicones, definitely going back for more.

also had some Rex Witch I thought was one of Clown Shoes best beers so far. Reminded me of Barrel aged Libertine.

 

Anyone seen or heard about any Yellow belly around still????

A few more bottles appeared on the shelf at Zipps yesterday. No idea if there are any left.

I do highly recommend seeking that beer out if you haven't had it. Reminded me of an amped-up version of CCB Peanut Allergy. Delicious stuff.

 

This may be completely irrelevant but I'm up in North Branch for Thanksgiving and they had Old Blaggard and 1349 pale ale for super modest prices, as well as a lone pack of Founder Devil Dancer from april on the shelves.

Side note: is the 1349 pale ale still holding up? I may pick one up on Friday.

Side side note: is that Devil Dancer worth picking up too? I'll probably be able to talk them down considering it's 7 months old and a small farm town liquor store.

 

I bet that Devil Dancer has blossomed into an Onion Blossom. Ask for a side of ranch.

I'm a total Founders fan-boy, but Devil Dancer just flopped with me (especially with what it costs). Add in 7 months from the bottle date, and I agree with Ramay86...avoid, avoid, avoid...
