    Never tried the Grand Cru version. Had a 2009 Cuvee De Tomme, nice, but could have been a lot better, I'm sure.

    Early dinner done, chilling and prepping for NFL game #2. Started the tasting with my pops. Nothing exciting him yet, but he's also playing with his grandkids (my nephews). The Triple Hop Mosaic he enjoyed the most so far (although he's not yet started sipping what the GF and I are now):

    Tripel Karmeliet. A little on the sweet side if I had to pick, but every time I have it I suggest to myself, "Self, you should have this in the fridge more often."

    Too bad I never listen to that old guy suggesting how I should lead my life.

    So I'm winding down a nasty virus that meant a fever off and on for a couple of days. Migraine on Monday. Chills and sweats. Still somewhat fatigued. Trying an old remedy involving malt, hops, water & yeast. I'll then chase it with an obnoxious amount of food. Getting my freak on!

    I remember the first time I had Pliny The Elder back in 07, a buddy back east had a growler of it and I got a bottle shipped to me, still very tasty, a few years later, got a real bottle of it and the shit was AWESOME!
