#VBS--not a sixer, but from a Local through and through...

Tons of the cabernet barrel coming through on this one--tastes great now and would definitely do great with a little age too! Thanks Nick! (btw--I have a feeling that the bears might actually do it tonight... Like a "put a box on it" kind of feeling...)

    Happy Turkey Day Locals!

Enjoy. Haven't opened one of the '14 bombers since April... I think it's about time I open one of them myself here soon

Sobriety is overrated as evidenced by my day 2 beer provided by @Yourahoser

Had one small pour of this and really happy to get a more determined crack at this - absolutely delicious, can't believe the lightness in color compared to the depth of flavor here.

    Thanks Chad!

Day 2 - I had high expectations for this one considering how good Ten Fidy is. The BA version crushed those expectations. The barrel works beautifully here. Such a treat! Thanks again @vitaminvert . I am now ready for Thanksgiving dinner.

Dave hit me with the same combo. Generous bastard. Paid my damn bill too. Looks like we need to send a small thank you box to Dave's brother!

Just getting home from family time. How about those fucking Detroit Lions?

Thank God for Locals Turkey Sixer Day 2!

The nose is a straight up bourbon bomb. Taste is smooth, chocolate, lots of barrel. Awesome BA Russian Imperial Stout here. Since my sender is from FIBlandia though, this could literally be anything.

Deth's Tar! That's two wants in two days. This is tasty as hell! Thank you so much @NickyPogs for another awesome beer that is exactly what I was hoping for.

    Still in shock down here!
I tore of the top portion again and revealed one of the most beautiful caps!

#demloons! Almost has a vinegary smell to it, leaked a tad bit through the cork. Simply delicious, not too acidic, nice fruity taste perhaps apricots :I'm in heaven right now: I know Bryan has sent out at least 1 Fou so I'm gonna have to assume he had 1 more for me..

Wow, I can't believe the generosity! This is too much @twofacedmonster ! Some how, some way I will pay you back for this!

    Cheers

Little known fact. Resolute goes well with turkey and GBC.

    Catch-up time!

Let me know what you think, had a chance to try some on release day and I thought it was great, I believe @PA-Michigander would agree as well.

I'm not much on pumpkin beers but I had a bottle of this a while back and I actually enjoyed it.

Yum, great stuff there. I recently got a bottle of this hand delivered by @PA-Michigander from one of the FIB's.

I was able to unwrap my day #2 beer this morning before hitting the road to my parents house. Dealt with a sick toddler all day so I never got to post the pic, here it is:

Goose Island Clybourn Big Train! Holy shit, saw this on the upcoming release board when @lefty17 and I were hanging out at GI a little while back, when the waitress said it was gonna be 1PP (or was it 2PP?) and not release for a few weeks I figured I'd never end up trying it. Thanks Adam, will be cracking this open here shortly.

wow. some heavy hitters thrown around today.

I think @Kramerbarthomer knew what I would be doing these couple days. I loved the BBA Ten Fidy, but was up late drinking it and then had to get up early to help my brother move for 5+ hours. Got back and had to help set up for thanksgiving dinner. I opened my day 2 as an appetizer... and it was perfect.

This and pretty much all RR sours I have had are permawants. The carbonation was a little higher than I remember and made it taste almost like champagne. So delicious. I could not have handled a big beer with our huge dinner.
My dad's smoked turkey was ridiculous. everything else was pretty great too. happy thanksgiving locals!

My Day 2 is an great, unique stout. First Nails by Fremont. This has a great full mouth feel. Chocolate with black licorice in front, smokey barely notes afterwards. Cinnamon is very hindered but present as it warms. One of the better non Ba beers Ive have. Thanks @ajaylock for awesome Thanksgiving beer.
Best part of these Local BIF is getting these fantastic beers you've never heard of, Cheers man!
