It was the place near Wegmans, although Beers and Cheers had Rare for $99.

 

Wait timeout. Beers and Cheers got Rare in? Seriously? Did they get any of the other variants? Also, that little place next to Wegmans got the regular in? You're blowing my mind lol

 

By the way, I work at the gym next to the Wegmans. You must live right near me.

 

I live in G'burg but was up that way and decided to stop in and have a look. The place near the Wegmans had 4 bottles but no way I am paying $16 per bottle. There was another guy looking at them and I might have talked them out of buying them.

I was surprised as you were to see rare up this way. Hoping next year MOCO will get the variants.

 

So here's what I heard from a very reliable source. Goose Island does not like the distribution company that covers most of MD, specifically Montgomery County. Hence, why we keep getting screwed on variants. They ALMOST completely stiffed us on all Bourbon County altogether but at the last second decided against it. When I called Beers and Cheers on Tuesday, they told me they were selling it for $16 a bottle and I laughed at the guy and said I'd pass.

 

Places in MD did get Barleywine, Regal Rye and Rare. They're out there. Maybe you guys did get the shaft.

 

In town for the weekend, should I be able pickup some regular at the Springfield WF tomorrow? Will they know what I'm talking about if I give them a call?

 

Looks like that will be the case. I just went by after a late night thanksgiving party. There were 15-20 people in line by 4 am. So not even worth lining up if you're looking for coffee or BW. I was almost tempted to stop but after seeing all the people with lawn chairs, I'll save myself the 3 hours and see what half those people sell on craigslist for.

 

The line at P St. WF looked about 30 folks long at 6am. I'm at Schneiders and it's a little longer.

 

Simple questions like that are much harder to get answered since their beer guy got kicked to the curb.

 

Has anyone heard of shops in NoVA getting anything other than regular, coffee, and barleywine? Made a few calls but haven't found any of the other variants.

 

What stores did you hear got Coffee/BW? From a lot of what I've been hearing it sounds like we got barely anything other than regular.

TW Laurel had regular, be and rare - rare is gone

 

Virginia did not get any rare or regal rye

 

What was the price at WF P street for Rare?

 

I know Perfect Pour will/has all the variants. Just be ready to give up your first born...
