Hard to tell it was all kept behind the counter. No crowd looking for this stuff when I was there.

TW McLean had bw and regular when i left at 915. They seem to have only gotten a case of coffee but they only sold 7 bottles according to one of the ppl in front of the line.

If you are out near Frederick, Old Farm Liquors has plenty of regular. Buy 4+ bottles and get a discount even, came out to $10 plus tax.

Perfect Pour say there was a line atopen and all coffee went immediately. They are now doing one bottle of regular OR barleywine. Not one of each? And $15.

Regal Rye seemed to be all over Baltimore region, but was scooped up instantly. Anyone get any extra and want to set up a trade send me a message. Got fresh Heady on Monday, plus others.

Yeah they must have opened early because I was there a couple minutes prior to open and there was no line nor did I see anyone leaving with any variants.

If anyone was at Wine Source you're gonna be disappointed... The bw that they had on tap was actually Lolita.

I know it's not funny, but the way you wrote this made me laugh.

    Shitty news, though.

Curious to hear from folks who went to Schneider's about how that experience went. Sounded like it might draw a massive crowd.

I'm pissed because I specifically didn't go because I emailed them and was told "
The Goose Island's Bourbon County Brand Stout will become available on December 1st at our Laurel location. "

I went about 10:30. No wait, about 12 cases of regular on the floor left. Grabbed last BW. Vibe was cool, a GI rep was giving out zombie donuts

I was grocery shopping this morning and noticed a long line of folks waiting for Norm's to open so they could grab their two bottles of the 2015 Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. The line had evaporated by the time I finished shopping, so I decided to drop in to see if Norm had any Dark Horse Plead the 5th imperial stout left since I've been wanting to try it. Not only did he have the Plead the 5th, he still had plenty of the regular Bourbon County Stout left at 10:30 am. The two cases of the Bourbon County Barleywine had gone quickly. Darn, I should have asked for one of the empty cases to carry beer to upcoming holiday parties.

Went to TW in Laurel at 8am, they said there was a long line before they opened and sold out of all but regular. It was limited to 1 per person at $10/bottle. They had like 10 cases left when I was there. Perfect pour ran out of coffee by 9am. Regular was $15/bottle and Barleywine was $18/bottle. They are just ripping people off.

Cindy's had a list going so we had barley and regular reserved. They were charging msrp and as always were awesome. I think I'm done with perfect pour, they don't care about their regulars and just gouge you on rare releases.

Don't disagree about the pricing, but there aren't many shops that get the selection they do in the area. I usually stop in when I'm in the Columbia/Ellicott City area just to see what is there.

And I'd justify it by figuring the $15 is still less than $1/ounce. I'm assuming it will be more when Frisco's pours it later today. So, to have it at home isn't terrible. It sucks when there are other options for less, but there aren't always other options without a lot of work.

Seriously. A real WTF moment when I opened my growler. On the plus side, I went back and got a free growler of the stout.

Anyone finding variants in the Baltimore area? There seems to be very little regal

Just spoke with one of the beer guys at Wine Source on the phone and he confirmed that the alleged barleywine is indeed Lolita. He said that anyone that paid with a credit card was refunded $19.99 plus tax. If you paid cash, you may want to contact them via phone, Facebook, or Twitter to let them know. Awful news, but at least they are trying to make it right...
