DC/MD/NoVA Bourbon County Stout Sightings 2015

Yea I hear you. It's really unfortunate actually. There are some really cool guys that work there but whenever you have a release that your die hard regulars want, you shouldn't wreck them on pricing.

Do you know if Frisco's got any coffee for later? I still have yet to try it

 

Petite Cellars had all of the variants and a line of 20ish people when they opened. They probably only got a case of Coffee, as the guy in front of me got the last bottle

Riverside in Frederick probably still has a bunch of Regular. 4 bottle limit and you have to ask at the counter.

 

I'd give them a call.

Just saw that they were pouring at least regular later. It's odd too, because their site says its the only time they'll pour this year. Maybe it's literally 2015, because last year they would have regular on tap several times. I think they had coffee at least once last year.

 

Yea just saw on their facebook page that they only have regular and barleywine. Guess I'll end up having to go down into a DC bar in the next couple weeks to get a coffee one.

 

Yeah, if anyone wants Coffee and doesn't already have it, it's either trade or DC.

 

TW Springfield had regular, BW, and coffee, plus regular on for fills. Coffee went instantly, BW stuck around for 5 mins. Didn't get a fill but they supposedly had enough to do 20 fills.

 

add to my earlier post TW Laurel had regular, barley wine, rare and coffee. I missed rare and coffee by a few people. Barley wine was almost out, there were cases of regular still there when I left.

TW Towson had Rye but they were out when I got there. Only regular left, not sure what else they had.

Both TWs were charging MSRP

Wells had regular @ 15/bottle - not sure if they got anything else.

Still seems to be plenty of regular available all around.

 

Yea, lots of regular to be had. All the others are gone at this point.

 

If anyone around here got a coffee and is willing to trade/do a taste event then hit me up. Guess I'm SOL this year again.

 

Calvert Woodley still has the reg and barleywine, no variants though.

Brook from wine source here, yes sadly we had some confusion with the Lolita and every one has been refunded what they paid for it. There is no barleywine to be had this year unfortunately. Last year we got the barleywine and the stout in keg form and saved one for this year that I believed was the stout (which it turned out to be as we found out) when I put it on tap this morning it was a light brown color so I assumed we had messed up and saved barleywine and not the stout. Given the rush at 9 am here I didn't get to try it. I apologize to anyone that got caught up in the confusion, and for what it its worth my new nickname here is "Lolita".

 

Did they get any Rare or Regal? They had coffee this morning around 10am. I figured they might have one of the other two variants seeing as they had Vanilla Rye on the shelf till March.

What time did they open?

 

Went to my place in Maryland this am. They said that Howard County was the only place in Maryland that got any of the variants this year due to distribution issues. Any variant sightings outside of HoCo?

There's hope - I'm hearing from a number of shops in DC that there is a second wave delivery coming early next week. It probably won't involve any Rare but all say they expect to have some allotment of the rest.

 

Honeygo Liqours in White Marsh (Baltimore Co) had a case of the Regal Rye. I was lucky enough to get one. They only had 2 cases of regular and the case of regal rye.

 

Why, Lolita is an excellent beer.
