Bourbon County Black Friday DFW?

Yup, so glad I decided to hit Kroger early. It was even cheaper by the case. $8.75 a bottle. One stop and done!

 

Damn! I didn't get that price break when I bought a case at Kroger Denton! Oh well - I'm not complaining.

 

Grabbed 3 bottles with ease today. Could've grabbed a case, but passed for some other stuff.

 

I'm Coming in tom late from Alabama with family, what are the odds I can get a Rare somewhere, besides slim to none? Lol

 

I highly doubt any of the rare made it past noon or 1:00 today.

 

I wouldn't count on it then, however, some stores are getting it late. If you're around next week, I'd call all of the stores you're near and see what their plans are.

Nice and easy release. I thought TW did a good job explaining to everyone the rules and how they'd go about selling the brew. I know of one Rare that they wouldn't sell or allow to leave the store due to the amount of alcohol she had consumed (I'm guessing while waiting for the store to open). But city wide BCBS is still available- that's something I can raise my glass to!

 

Lined up early at TW North Plano b/c I was under the impression they would also have some prop. vintage FW. The BA conversations I'd read said you wouldn't be able to get multiples, but you could pick one FW. About 5 minutes before we were to go inside, we found out the deal was for either a FW product or Rare - could not buy both.

Oh well shoulda gone to Denton I guess. Still took the Rare and am happy with that. Hunt for the elusive Parabola continues...

 

I heard about the girl that they denied the sale to. She complained on Facebook that it was sexist and she was singled out because she is woman. I also heard she was incredibly drunk. If you're gonna drink in line (when it is illegal to do so), at least know how to control yourself and keep a low profile.

 

Out of town this weekend somewhere rural. Will anywhere in DFW still have regular bcbs come monday??

 

And then she admitted to being drunk on facebook....WOW!

 

Have you guys heard anything about timing/release of variants this week?

 

I've asked everyone I know in DFW retail sales and distributors and no one has info on the follow on Bourbon County releases. It's a Magical Mystery....

Tom Thumb in Lewisville still has 2015 BCBS in a small display when you walk in to the left near the cash registers. Scooped up 3 at lunch today.

I was able to pick up a 2014 BCBS and 2014 Barley Wine at the Flower Mound Whip In on Saturday.

There is quite a bit around town still. Hulen Specs had ~5 cases this afternoon.
