Wilmette Foremost on Green Bay Rd. would only sell regular by the case. Jacked up price, but stops me from having to run all over.

 

I think maybe skipping Binnys is the way to go. Take the road less traveled.

I slept in, got up and got in line at my local hole in the wall at 8:20. An hour later I was home with 6 regular, prop, regal, barley wine, coffee, and a four pack of 2014 reg. Ran over to a second place and came home with another barely wine and a FW XIX. Total line time (all at the first place) was about 30 minutes.

It's been a good morning.

 

I think that if anyone wants to actually be a Beer Advocate and kindly share a couple spots in NW burbs. That would be cool and deserves a high five

 

How much did they want for a case?

 

Jewel on Wolf is sold out, Jewel on 159 has no idea if they are getting anything or when.

 

does anyone know if Whole Foods is releasing theirs next week (similar to what they did last year)?

 

If they did you won't hear about it for two weeks....

 

Didn't go to binnys and I got 6 regular and one of regal rye, coffee, and barley wine. The costco in lake in the hills had a varient and it was gone by the time I made it there. I wated maybe 15 minutes to get in at costco and my local store hooked me up with the rest.

 

Is orland park Binnys out?

 

I am willing to bet every Binnys in the area is sold out. That is how it was last year, all were gone in less than an hour

 

I was able to score 10 regular and 4 barley wine in a little town about 100 miles west of Chicago. Also found two places that had 8 ox drafts for 8 bucks. Gotta love beermenus!

It's been dumb since it started. Really wish everyone would let this trend die. I didn't leave my house today and couldn't be happier. Didn't even bother calling my local place that had my name on their list, or head over to the local beer bar that had it on tap with small lines, but I'll check tomorrow...maybe

 

I had waited in the lines the last 2 years, but said the hell with it this year. Went into a small local shop around noon and left with 2 regulars and 1 Prop. I'm happy.

Correct. I called a bunch of city and suburban WF stores today, and they all confirmed their release date will be the 1st Friday of December, 1 week after.

 

Hopefully they still have some of those flowing tonight. Are there any places in the downers grove / lisle area that will have bc variants on tap today, or even places who still have bc on shelves?

 

Hey man I was just able to find some at a liquor store 3 miles from me so I would suggest just taking a local drive around and see what you can find. They got their delivery yesterday.

The only were delivered about a case all together according to the kid working there but he didn't seem too knowledgeable. Had 3 varieties regular, barley wine and prop. Only had 3 regular and 1 barley wine left when I went in so I bought them, 13.99 for the reg and 16.99 for the barley wine.
