BCBS Black Friday in Milwaukee

I think it might actually mean more. I was limited to 1 12oz regular and 1 12oz barleywine at Otto's last year. I hear they're offering 2 per on regular, so oz-wise that's a little bit more.

 

Eh. 2 years ago you could buy 2 4 packs at 19.99 a piece at discount. No chance you'll get 8 bottles of the regular at one place now. I'll be content with anything I guess, no variants, whatever happens.

Potentially that store just got slightly more allotted this year

 

Yeah, I see your point. Our market has been affected heavily by expanded distribution that favors large cities on the coasts. They say it's allocated based on GI sales, but last year the new markets saw far more Bourbon County than the established markets. After all, BCBS is a HUGE AB-InBev marketing tool that's worth way more than some hurt feelings in Milwaukee and the like.

Luckily, we didn't sell any GI bottles this year, so no BCBS release @ D&V. Might stop in at Otto's to grab a bottle. Possibly will hit Ray's on Saturday, curious to see how that event works (never been able to get to one before).

 

Interesting that Rays or Discount haven't put out their plans forbsaturday yet. It feels like that are waiting for each other to donut first.

Discount is supposed to be sending info tonight, and Rays not until Friday night.

Thanks for all of the info everyone. I plan on going to LF and then head over to DL. What are the lines like at DL? I am trying to figure out how long it will take to get through the LF line if I get in line around 6:30 and whether it is worth it to head over to DL. Thanks in advance and happy hunting!

 

I'm assuming you mean Discount, I would say it's probably not worth it. Enjoy your time at lakefront, maybe head to Stubbys for a draft.

Stopped by a Woodman's this morning when they opened. Was told they would be selling BCBS at 1:00, they have 4 types and you could buy one of each. Went back at 12:45 and a different employee tells me they're all gone. WTF? Is this a joke? I suppose I should have tried a few more stores even if I was getting some later but I wasn't trying to drive all over the place. Pretty pissed about the whole thing and probably will not be shopping at Woodman's anymore.

 

so showing up at 12:45 then waiting in line for an hour then selling out before they got to you in line would have been better? just me but i probably would of showed up more than 15 minutes early

 

I'm curious to know which woodmans that was.
