If you're near Plymouth try Luke's of Manomet. Sounds like they might have a few bottles left.

Only one or two stores per town seem to be getting any round here, and if they do it's only a single case of regular. Super frustrating considering you hear stories of people from rural areas going home with whole cases and/or variants.

 

Agreed, I asked if Pioppis would be getting it last week, they asked if I wanted to put my name down and would get a call when it came in. Stopped in today around noon heading down to Plymouth, said it wasn't in yet, never got a call.

Stopped at Luke's on my way to a friends house tonight, the kid working the counter said he thought they got it in but didn't know where it was....

 

Plenty of the regular left at the Wellington Kappy's as of 10:00 PM ($9.99 a bottle).

Didn't see any of the other variants but didn't look hard enough to say for sure whether there were any.

ETA: thought it was interesting that each bottle I bought had a slightly different ABV. Must be barrel specific bottles rather than blends as I would have assumed.

 

For the folks monitoring prices, I found bottles of regular in Manchester NH last night at $20 each. Couldn't believe it!

 

Paid $10.69 (Regular), $12.59 (BW and Coffee) and $22.99 (Regal) at Ball Square yesterday. 1 case limit on Regular, altho I just bought two.

Both Bukowskis (Boston and Cambridge) had events yesterday--Boston started at 5pm (same as Foundry) and had Coffee on tap, so went to Cambridge which had Regal on tap and started at 12pm. No one there for BCBS--seems everyone at the bar was there to watch Bs game. Regal was good--def better than its mediocre reviews.

Got to Foundry at 4ish and stayed til 7 or 8. This is the 3rd time I've been there for a Goose Island event and it is always a pleasure. Very well run, super chill, never crowded and the reps are great. Regal again was good, Regular was very good and Coffee was outstanding. Had a free pour of Lolita and enjoyed that, too.

Good BCBS experience overall: struck out at Liquor World (they told me Fri morning but actually sold it on Wed, the weasels), Downtown, Pemberton, and the Commercial Street Kappy's, struck gold at Ball Square (happened to get there just before delivery guy), and scored some 2014 Regular at Wellington Kappy's. Cambridge Bukowski's is doing a stout fest all wknd so I believe more stuff (Uncle Jacobs, 2014 BCBS Regular) will go on once other stuff kicks...

Random aside: Proclamation Derivative w/ Citra (at Lord Hobo) is the real deal. Its 4.44 rating is justified, IMHO.

As someone who tries to support local bottle shops in NH, this is disappointing. I understand this isn't specific to NH but every year when BCBS comes out I'm always shocked at the prices in NH. Last year one place was selling a 12 ounce regular stout for 10 bucks. I've never seen it priced close to the MSRP in NH. Maybe I'm just frequenting the wrong bottle shops...

I was told Whole Foods in Dedham would be selling today due to a pricing issue of some sort yesterday, but cannot confirm it's actually on the shelf. Just regular from what I was told.

I wonder if I ran into you, I got there around 9:30/9:45 I believe. I don't typically chase this beer, but I saw they tweeted out they released it while I was on the treadmill at the BSC, and figured why the hell not.

Picked up the last Coffee and a Barleywine. I figured instead of getting two Barleywines I'd leave the leftovers for other people.

Ha, I was also there from about 4:30ish to 7. I'll echo your sentiments, this was my second Goose Island event (I went this past spring and hit Redbones, J-Tree, and finally Foundry) and they're always super chill and well run. I couldn't believe the Rye was still pouring after over an hour, so I decided to have another. Delicious, delicious stuff.

Were you at the island in the middle? The Goose Island rep (the guy with the goatee) was there, he's a chill guy. He was at the event in the spring as well.

Might check out Bukowski's tomorrow and maybe Lord Hobo based on your recommendations, sounds good.

Found a case of regular at drum hill Liquors in Chelmsford. At $15 per I only picked up a pair in case I don't luck out elsewhere.
