Is there a particular scheduled time for bottles to go out today?

And your rare is all out too. Got here at 10:30am in advance of the noon sale time you said here. Pretty bummed.

Any word on Joe canals in Woodbridge? (or anywhere in the surrounding area) seems very spotty in central nj. I snagged one bcbs at wine anthology in Clark on Thursday. total was 17.00 for one bottle which is absurd but I wanted a safety bottle in case I couldn't land another this year.

Only regal & BW left at WF Columbus. Looks like they had about 6 rares. First guy told me he showed up at 930. I showed up just now (about 1040) & was 8th person there.

    Edit: Tons of regular available.

This is really bumming me out too, as I wasn't scheduled to work this morning. Sorry man.

    Not sure if serious.

Joking aside, I would not hold your breath for an overabundance of Bourbon County next year. There was plenty of talk about this when AB bought GI and I don't see much of a difference. The big wigs at ABInBev are not sitting in a conference room thinking "wow, this is so strange how people go crazy over this". They know exactly what they have and there's no way they are going to use the massive profits they have made to flood the market with tons of Bourbon County next year to "give back to the people". They are going to produce just enough to leave that taste in your mouth while maintaining the 'mystique' and 'rarity' factor.

Central Jersey was very blah last year when I looked for it. I got lucky in 2013 but last year was awful. I managed 2 bottles from Wegman's in Lawrenceville. Checked out 4 local stores in the South Brunswick and Somerset area. I didn't think 3 of them would have it but I took a shot - didn't see any. One store had it earlier in the week and it's long gone.

This is one beer I will go to certain lengths to get but I'm getting sick of it. The limited allocation in this area along with the greediness is a turn off. The hunting and searching was kind of fun for a little while but I'm just about over it. I know the city gets a ton of it but frankly, I'm not going into the city and worrying about lugging this shit home. I have 6 bottles of 2013 left so whatever. I actually had an easier time finding KBS earlier this year than I did with BCBS last year.

More power to the folks who make a day of it and drive all over the place for their "hauls". I see a bunch of posts on facebook with guys flashing their cases and their bottles of rare. Then there are chumps like me and others that don't even see a bottle of it. Jealousy? No. It's not fun anymore and that was a big part of getting into the craft beer scene.

@Koges sending me pics of the line at 3 am makes me glad I was in bed digesting Thanksgiving dinner and the many beers I had that night.

NJ got flooded with KBS this year, stores that got a case were sitting on 2-3 cases a couple weeks after the delivery. I had beer managers sending me text messages to come get more KBS if I wanted.

2013 was my 1st year looking for BCBS, within 3 local stores I had 4 4packs of regular, 2 BW and 1 Coffee and I was like damn this is easy, one store still had BCBS and BW months later. NYC was selling BCBS 2013 in Oct of 2014. 2014 the same stores listed above I got 3 4 packs of regular and 1 BW. This year, Ill be lucky with 3 single bottles of regular.

Not complaining, but the supply in NJ is getting worse + more people looking for it.

The KBS availability was a pleasant surprise this year. I turned down the opportunity to get more. I got my 4 bottles and I was satisfied. My wife likes the KBS more than I do.

I agree with you about the supply getting worse and you're right. More people are looking for it. The feed for NJCB club is blowing up with people showing how much BCBS they are getting. I mean, I see more and more women getting in on the action now, too. There is nothing wrong with that and I'm all for it, but that was more of the exception in craft beer a few years ago IMO. Now it's becoming more of the norm with women showing off their "hauls".

I wouldn't have any issue with any bottle shop taking care of their "regular" customer and not the mass majority that don't normally shop there. I assume that most grocery stores don't specialize in beer and have no obligation to do so unless they post actual events or raffles. Just my 2 cents.

Anyone know why certain parts of NYS got 13.7% and some others 14.3?

WF Chelsea has plenty of BCBS and BW. I couldn't find any of the usual beer staff to ask about Coffee.

Lower ABV versions are for the states with restrictions (i.e. limit<14.3%); maybe GI made a naughty and accidently shipped out disproportionately?

Interesting, all the Ithaca, NY cases were 13.7. I noticed other WNY cities and NYC with 14.3. I'm glad we got it, but it is strange.

Thank you for the heads up! I'm in south Jersey and haven't been able to get any, but my friend is up in that area for the weekend so he went and grabbed us each a case of regular and a few bottles of BW.

Now if only there was coffee around...
