New Belgium's Le Terroir was my gateway sour. Favorite has been St. Louis Premium Peche.

Came to mention this and their Oude Geuze. Both got me liking Them Sours.

    Consecration.

Now, it's my least favorite RRBC Sour.

Monk's Sour for me too. Local bar has it on tap from time to time. Love a sour as a palate cleanser or on a hot day, or as a transition from one type of beer to another. Have not been able to get into gose beer yet. Can't handle that saltiness.

This was in my top 3 Beers of 2015. I followed it to every bar that had it. Insanely good sour beer.

The first time I ever tried a sour was after I started working at BevMo and some co-workers invited me to a sour tasting. I had no idea what they were and I was super blown away by how interesting they all were. Oude Tart, Duchesse, Rodenbach, were among the line-up but the one that really got me was Rueuze.

I didn't think as much of it at first, but a few days later I could feel my mouth watering thinking about that one in particular. True love.

Duchesse and also Lindemann's Faro. Both transitions to the more traditional sours.

Lambics can be too forward for beginners. I think it's best to start with a tart saison, or something a bit more tilted toward the sweet side, like a Rodenbach flanders, or something of that ilk...

I was at a bachelor party stop at Taco Mac in 2008 or so...and a guy in our group said 'y'all have got to try this' and ordered a Lindemann's Kriek...blown away, I was always a sour candy kid...so we ordered rounds of them, and followed up with the Peches....not knowing that they were charging $14/pop for 12 oz bottles...our tab came later and was hundreds of dollars and I balked haha...Lord knows it was only a future glimpse into bank account dents to come once I found 'real' sours and wilds...

Still have a soft spot for ol' Lindemann's though.

Id say im still far from hooked but the suntory sour ale from.japan, though im sure isnt good by any standard, is the first one i like. Not overly sour. And can be a session, almost somehow remenescent of ipa.
