@Tee2Grn killed it with this beer. Fantastic and my liver is happy that i shared it with some friends that also happen to be beer nerds. But I'm super-duper pissed that my Irish lost on the last play of the game. FUK. BTW Thanks Ian!

 

I was lucky to be the target of a crazy secret IP proxy ninja attack from @lefty17 and @NickyPogs During gabf this year. Due to that I got to try this brewery I'd never heard of called Penrose. Needless to say, they are on my freaking radar.
Day #4:



@robgage The crazy east coast bomber of Midwest beers! So freaking delicious my friend. Citrus and funk. Drinkable and it hits me directly in the flavor spot. Cheers! Your box continues to impress!

 

So my wife says to me as I was taking the pic "At least your not drinking your beer out of that wine glass (Locals glass). You look like an asshole when you drink out of that. "

Sigh.

Did you explain to her that we're all assholes then? I mean, wouldn't be the first time (today) I've been called an asshole.

 

It want even the first time today she called me an asshole.

 

Since its after midnight, I took a peek at the next day's beers... Two beers, two iconic PA breweries, both that I've only had 1 beer from and those were either at shares or festivals. Can't wait!

 

Where I'm at the day is only 26 mintues old. Still been called an asshole multiple times

Delayed day 4 pron...

The day 3 bottle went down yesterday afternoon - woke up feeling much better than Friday - stupid sinuses...

Stopped at a friend's house later yesterday evening and shared my day 4 bottle amongst a few others...

it was one of the only places in NYC that got Rare. It is a GI sponsored event.

I might need some of those recipes. I have plenty of BC regular this year.

when I saw your last post, I was going to suggest moving this one up and doing both yesterday. Working out perfectly. Enjoy the last 2 today.

 

Ok. So there was a little mishap. Not the end of the world, but one bottle will not make it to the final kill shot. My gf and I split (well she had a glass) of the Casey FP peaches and when she cleaned up, she put in the trash that went to the dumpster. Not the end of the world, but man that bear was delicious. I think it was my favorite peach bear I have ever had.

Later last night, I went to @LehighAce06 's house to open a few bottles, and I brought along my day 4 bottle to open there. Got lucky that he had someone visiting who brought a huge want and Kevin opened another one as well.


Beatification batch 7. So lemony and funky. Kevin was nice enough to let me use a Side Project glass... this was a foreshadowing of the best kind.

Then I opened my day 4.

Wow. easily the highlight of the night for me. I'm glad I got to share it with a few people as well. The nose is very heavy bourbon, but it was not hot at all for being this years and 14.5%. Thank you so much @Kramerbarthomer

And this morning I unwrapped day 5.
From a brewery that I have been wanting to try, and was never sure if or how I would get one. Of course this group continues to blow me away. I legitimately had my jaw drop when opening it.



Side project: saison du ble! We were talking about this beer last night and I was wishing I had a chance to try it. What an amazing 5 days so far.

 

Glad you enjoyed. I know you checked it in once before but you gave it a super high rating, so I figured you'd enjoy another. One another note, I think I mixed up my days. Day 4 was supposed to give you a break...
