Blind taste tested with Maine Beer Co. Lunch and Trillium's Vicinity. Tesseract blew them out of the water.

Tesseract was on at Hoptron last night. Lasted a whole two hours.

Words can't explain how upset I was watching the keg go from green, to yellow, to red, to gone while I was sitting at work haha.

It's only been brewed once, back in August.

Hoptron actually updates web site in real time with how much beer is left? Very cool!

Dang, Hoptron was my last hope. I didn't make it there til 8 or so, and I had been checking out the list all day. When did it show up?

Good luck. You can find their stuff on draft, but finding bottles/cans has become a bit of a hassle.

Westside Market 3rd Ave was on Instagram practically BEGGING someone to come buy their last 2 cans of Tesseract. Literally threatened to put them on the shelves, then proceeded to put them on the shelves once no one showed up. Its was a pretty funny set of posts.

are you guys finding it to be a frequent occurrence that our beers are not on the shelf and you have to ask someone? like, stores are only making it known to their social media followers?

yeah i find this to be the case with a lot of places that have it given the lower limits for the ipas. they try to keep it in the back/behind the counter to make sure they are managing limits correctly (at least that's my guess as to why they keep it in the back). i only think one/two places have actually had them displayed on the shelves (of my small sample size of midtown/lower east side beer stores ive purchased your ipas at). have almost always seen the bottles displayed on shelves though

For sure, I've almost always had to ask, at least for cans and BADN. In fact, for cans, I've only seen it on shelves at one place - Murray's Cheese - and that only one 4-pack of Pulse Wave. All bottles that weren't BADN have been on shelves though, for the most part, and easier to come by.

Speaking of Murray's, did anyone grab Tesseract there? I've stopped by a few times and didn't see it out, and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about if I ask. They still have plenty of regular Double Negative at 23.99, which I'm still convinced has to be a pricing mistake (several other bottles have crazy prices, like IBB for 24.99).

Bottles are usually on the shelf (except for BA DN) and cans are usually behind the counter but i think they do that to make sure it it limited to 2 pp or 1 pp all of places I have purchased have been day they received it though, so it just came from the truck and people are waiting to buy it

    that makes sense i guess.

yeah they probably have this keyed into their system at the pricing of the BA version.

FYI, they just had 4-packs of Tesseract at Murray's. Guy said they had two more 4-packs in the back when I was there around 1pm, 19.99 per 4-pack.

As a store manager (Westchester) I don't get a chance to put any of your product on the shelf, It sells out within a half hour of being in stock usually. Best I get to do is throw 'em on the counter in the open. Hiding product goes against everything beer should be able, Man.

Glad I don't live in NYC; BADN was $15 in multiple places here upstate.

It was the same in a lot of places in NYC actually. A few stores tried to take advantage, but two of the places I frequent most had it for $15.

I had a buddy in Brooklyn over the holiday. He called 12 places, all of which stated if he wasn't on their "list" he wouldn't be able to get any Grimm products.

Saying that twelve places said this really strains credulity.

This is how it's supposed to be. The whole point is to get the beer into circulation as fresh as humanly possible, not to hoard it in a back room.
