How many BAs have you met in real life?

Damn, I just knew that I was forgetting someone.

 

Just one that I know of, but I knew him before joining the site so I'm not sure if that counts.

 

Ah yes meeting Sam was great and he put his arm around me for the picture . I have met @jzeilinger and @gillagorilla. One of the days I hope to meet up with @Shroud0fdoom but he is rather reclusive from what I gather.

 

I worked (they have since left company or retired) with a few, but they are not really active on here I don't think. And I'm sure I've met at least one or two bartenders / beer store workers who are on here

 

I met you two days ago on Black Friday. Your height (I'm guessing 6'3'' or 6'4'', given that you were 1-2 inches taller than I) and bald head make you a standout in crowds. lol.

 

Yes. When sober I am as reclusive as it gets, unless I have obligations (Beer, Groceries, Work, etc..). Most time I try to stay away from people as much as possible. Well, one day I am free we can meet up at Mace or Max's. Both places isn't an issue to drive to.

Generally, there'll be a thread about whichever big fest is coming up, and folks post whether or not they're going. Some guys have a particular shirt or hat they always wear to fests, sometimes one (or more) of us will be pouring for a certain brewery, and we tell folks to stop by and say hi. Sometimes we pick a spot to grab a beer after the fest, and meet up there. We're yet to see the need for nametags.

 

At least twelve.... Most at bottle shares.

 

I have met one that I know for sure, Lysergicdream, at Darkness Day this year. Outstanding guy, if he is a good representation of the BA community I need to make it a point to meet more.

 

Just three...However two I knew before I realized they were on Beer Advocate.

I must admit I must have been one of those, I humbly apologize. I still feel bad!

We were both at the Mad Fox brewery when he reached out to me, but having kids, that was a rare outing for me and I still don't feel that I can leave them alone much. Hopefully in the near future that will change and I can be a little more sociable. Cheers!

I've had the pleasure of meeting @joetouchton (also his lovely wife Ashley and daughter. Even let me stay at his house when I came to visit), @RobinLee, @THANAT0PSIS, @JackHorzempa, and @Sixpoint (Shane was kind enough to give me a tour of his brewery while I was staying in Brooklyn). I've also met countless other local BA's and brewers who are on here and yet to find anyone who I wouldn't be glad to have a beer with again.

I look forward to expanding this list as time goes on.

One, but not the only. No worries, some random guy on the internet shouldn't win out over family . Maybe one day we'll have a beer together, but even if not - we've always got the virtual table on this site.

 

There is nobody I've met because of BA, but there are people that I've met that are also on BA.

 

unsuccessfully I might add . I have met @BlueRogue , @jzeilinger , and @WesMantooth as well. Always enjoy drinking a few with you Dick one of the highlights of my trips to Maine and golfing with you is one of my low points .
