Starting a new thread for BCBS in South Jersey since PA & NY already had their releases over the weekend and Northern NJ got much of theirs... Mr. Moderator, please don't group this in with other states because of these circumstances...

Looks like Bourbon County will finally hit stores in South Jersey this week. Anyone have info on variants? I'm assuming SJ will be all Regular and Barley Wine, but holding out hope for some Coffee... Maybe we could all post experiences here and help each other out since PA and NY residents will be ready to pounce on our turf...

So my buddy went to a shop near Allentown today that was holding a raffle. They handed out tickets but apparently didn't realize that people could easily write whatever they wanted on it and the cashier would believe it. Rare and coffee sold out before the people who lined up first could get them and then a riot broke out. People were throwing stuff and shoving so they stopped all sales and he left empty handed.

I can't believe craft beer is attracting this type of trash. Great beer is for sharing, not be a total jackass about.

This is so sad to hear about. When having a beer is more about me getting mine and less about us getting ours, why the hell are we drinking?

I don't say that against anyone who managed to score a bottle of regular or three cases of rare - if someone was willing to sell them to you, all power to you. But when you get so mad about missing out that you resort to anger and violence... maybe it's time to check your priorities.

Even without the potential of there being bottles in the boxes that's ~60 bottles visible. If they were all the same price as regular at $10.99 (what I paid), that's $659.40 before tax (NJ sales tax would put the total at $705 and change). I believe that the variants cost more than regular, so this total could come close to $800. As a consumer, dumping $800 on alcohol intended for private consumption definitely falls under "disposable income".

I guess I've just become numb to beer prices.

Any reports for WF Brooklyn- even if it's just for the regular? Only their growler station and bar are showing up on Beer Menus.

they had one case of coffee and barleywine that they were selling 1pp yesterday morning so am sure those are gone. no regal rye or rare. the guy said that they had 50 cases of regular and would be selling them without a limit. not sure what they've got after the weekend.

If anyone is still looking, a certain Key Food in Park Slope had some regular and BW today, though they upped the price on both to $15, to uhh, take advantage.

Joe Canals is getting it next Friday. A whopping 24 bottles will be available and will be raffled off. BCBS and NJ distribution ate like oil and water, they just don't mix.

I'm trying to figure out what areas got it already, and where they will be available going forward. I'm in Berkeley Heights, only checked 3 places, and they all said they didn't get any, but didn't know if they were shutout or have more coming. One said he would call to special order it for me, so I don't think he quite gets the limited quantities. Nice gesture, though. I did find a bottle at Shop Rite in Garwood around noon on Friday. No idea how much they got.

Similar thing happened in Reading, PA today at a place called Mari's 6-pack and more - minus the riot, throwing and shoving part. Im actually surprised things didnt escalate to that level though because the venue hosting the event was the most shady establishment I have encountered in quite some time. They pulled a serious bait and switch on the attendees. I feel sorry for the people that showed up hours before the place opened and went home with nothing.

The op was talking about Maris I love how they said we are only selling what the employees didn't buy what a joke. They had like 3 of the same numbers in the bucket she called the number once no one came up watched her throw the ticket on the table yet like five numbers later same number now how did that happen if that number was taken out. It was so rigged they saw folks lined up outside in the morning so they changed the format 1 hour before they opened to it was all a lotto. All the owners of this place care about is money they are a joke. They even yelled at someone on Facebook because they called the store to find out details on the event.
