Day 6 from @PassMeAZima ! First cascade beer (that i recall, too lazy to check untappd) despite having them in my distro. Delicious, also my first apricot sour (though I have a golden angel in my cellar). I'm house sitting/keeping a cousin company and decided to bring datglass instead of locals glass... so sorry I didn't keep the tradition going...

 

Oops. Sorry. Just give her the peanut brittle.

 

@Littlelotte88 had to go there and send me a third HF brew in Turkey Sixer box, permawant... Love this one!

 

Well, I'm glad you hadn't had any Cascade before. I didn't check your distro but saw it on you wants. Whewww...dodged a bullet there.

A local grocery store where I was able to score 2 BCBS four packs last year had a limit of 2 bottles this year. Upon seeing the disappointment in my face - the beer manager said they had it on draft and would happily sell me a growler. I'd never seen/heard any retailer doing "BC anything" growlers in the Seattle area. Its a lot of BCBS but man its amazing #ItsTheSeasonToBeJelly

PS - this was the first stop in my hunt for BC. Little did I know that this year 90% of the shops would have a 1 bottle limit lol...

Jester King - Funk Metal Batch 4. Sour stout, bottled in 2013. Had this as a want since it seemed super interesting, never thinking I'd get one. Lo and behold, the Locals come through. Cracked this tonight after my daughter's six-year old birthday party.

So weird and complex. I get grapes and wine-like aspects. The light roast at the end is so nice. It is outstanding. I have thoroughly enjoyed these past 5 days and I'm sad that it will end tomorrow. Thanks for the awesome, awesome box Ian.

 

Unadvertised box shipping out tomorrow. All I gotta say is GO CATS!

 

I've been pretty MIA from the thread the last few days, been on a craft beer bender since Wednesday night. I did want to share this picture though because every time I see it, it makes me happy.

Wasn't able to purchase any Rare this year, but then I stopped by my girlfriend's place...


The beer was pretty amazing, a girl who knows me this well, irreplaceable.

There are many many beers I will likely never try despite being in distro so receiving something like this is never a bad thing in my book, even if I HAVE had it before (which I didn't in this case)

Excited to see what my final day brings though in retrospect I should have done heavy today and light tomorrow since I got here around 4:30 tonight and work at 9 tomorrow, but won't be here until 6:30 tomorrow and work at 7 Tuesday... Poor planning on my part
