Trillium makes an awesome one called Day & Night. Nice coffee notes, great for breakfast!

Yeah, this beer is criminally neglected.

    Cool idea.

Had a 2013 Goose Island Bourbon County Barleywine on draft, and a Smuttynose Really Old Dog Brown Ale today. Both drank great, happy birthday.

What a splendid idea, and a great picture! Barleywines are my favorite style, and I'm also a December birthday, so I may have to steal this plan some year in the future.

    Enjoy your month!

in my barleywine drinking experience, year-old insanity is as good as anything being mentioned/pictured, it's still good fresh but not on the same level. if you can find any it should be last year's so i would say get on that right away

You should drink Sucaba on Christmas Day. Put some gift wrap around it, place it under the tree and then rip that box open like there's a red rider or fleshlight inside. It should make for a great morning.

I'd love to have Mother Of All Storms in this, but I'm just on the wrong coast to be able to pick one up!
@cavedave , didn't you bring one to Tops Hops once? I had my eyes on that beer as the one I waned to try that day above everything else... but I didn't last long enough to try it.

If it has "Old" or "Olde" in the name, it's probably fair game... unless that's followed by "English 800"... but on second thought...

    Awesome! I love it!

My planned barleywines by the end of winter:
    Brown shugga
    Hibernation ale
    Old Ruffian
    Third Coast
    Bigfoot
    BCBS 15'

    Enjoy, cheers!

I had an opportunity to buy that, but at $35, it exceeds what I'm currently willing to pay for a bottle of beer. (Not that I wasn't tempted!)

What a fantastic collection. I've had a little over half of what you've compiled, but out of those 17 or so, I've loved close to a dozen of them. Standouts would probably be Sucaba (duh), Saturn, London Balling and Arctic Devil.

In terms of what barleywines I might drink before the end of the month/year...

I have a couple from trades that I'm excited to crack: Killdozer 12 Point Buck from Burnt Hickory and Brew 1000 from Fremont.

And another new offering from MI brewery Blackrocks: Gnomas, an English barleywine in a can (!!!)

    And a few others:

Helldorado (still haven't opened my bottle)
A Deal With The Devil (likely slated for NYE)
Bourbon County BW (my lone 2015 bottle will need to be opened and evaluated sooner than later--you know, for science)
