Another vote for way too high a price. Enter a few comps and get a variety of opinions is more valid than one pass.

A terrible life to live charging $40 for 5 minutes of notes while drinking free beer all day.

I think the real bar to pass is if your beer sells or not. You don't need a medal to make great beer. You just need a killer name and a pretty girl on the label.

Give me a 30-second commercial slot during a nationally televised NFL game, and I'll show you pretty girls, a dog and pony show, and a medal winning beer.

I would if Gordon Strong took a selfie with the beer I entered.

I think you need to slip him an extra 5 bucks for that 'feature'.

    Cheers!

    Hi all,

First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone for their comments and feedback. I’m pleasantly surprised by the amount of discussion reviewmyhomebrew.com generated as I didn’t really expect it! To help provide some more clarity and context around the service, I’ve put up an “about me” page so you know who I am and why I started this business as well as a blog post to address some of the feedback that came out of the various comment threads.

I've tried to post this reply several times and it hasn't cleared the moderator so I've removed the direct links to those pages. Pretty sure y'all can figure out how to navigate to 'em. Hopefully this reply will finally post successfully.

    Cheers!

The one feature I do love is that you can give this as a gift. If you know someone who brews crappy beer but don't have the heart to tell them, that's one bad ass passive aggressive move. That'll be right up my alley if I spend a few more years in the Midwest.

On a side note, point taken if I ever receive one as a gift.
