That damned @rspauldi. I reached out to him for a Texas beer on my 12 Days of Xmas targets wants (cross hint). One single beer. He promises to 'keep it small' and this shows up today:



Obviously minus the one want he sent. Thanks Russ, will take one more week for me to stock up appropriately.

Thanks @JasonR1975 for a delicious Thanksgiving with six tasty new ticks and three new breweries. I really liked this format since it forced me to open some special occasion type beers that I'd normally want to hold onto and I enjoyed them all. I'm not sure I could do a 12 days though, I'm ready for a few days off (although that might be from yesterday's three double digit abv beers...)

 

Day 6 is an old favorite and permawant. Thanks @sembo for a great six days, I will post the kill shot tomorrow, a screaming one year old for most of the night has made me exhausted.

 

what an introduction to the locals. this is the 3rd days of BIF and all have been good experiences.

@Kramerbarthomer has destroyed my wants list with amazing and monster beers.

So for day 6, as shown before- I unwrapped Hop Mess. amazing beer. Casey has moved up to one of my favorite breweries. I want to get into my CFP cherries from @vitaminvert just to get my fix!

so as I just finish cooking and my dad reads the label and asked what is 'hop mess'

I offered a sip and after a sour lemon face- he said 'thats pretty good, pour me a little.' so I obliged.

That is his pour. took him a while to finish it, but enjoyed it.
I poured mine into my grrrz glass and you can see my pumpkin baked ziti in the background.

delicious. the beer and dinner.

now for the kill shot. i love these days of, but its so sad when its done. the CFP peaches is missing as i mentioned earlier. i left a spot where it belonged.


thanks again @Kramerbarthomer - you hit so many styles I like with beers I am lucky to try. I am a lucky man.

I saw I had a want, actually multiple of the same beer, of @jawas so I told him I'd send him some. Before I could even get the box out I actually had payback, how the fuck does that work?!

I've been around enough beer that very few (though some sure do) make me jealous/envious. I have been very envious of two things in here recently. That really cool Cape May glassware and the peanut brittle. I can tick them both now! The peanut brittle is spicy chili. Holy balls is it spicy. Delicious but spicy. Still owe you Rob. Also sorry for the usage of boxes it was completely inadvertent.

 

As previously mentioned, I went down with a stomach bug this weekend and had to put a hold on 6 days. Yesterday, I was feeling a bit better, so resumed with my day 3 from @UcDru



Stuff. Imperial stout with chocolate, vanilla beans, cinnamon and peppers. This was quite tasty and right up my alley. Peppers were present, but not overwhelming.

Unfortunately, it seems I tried to come back to soon. Woke up feeling much worse than yesterday and felt generally crappy all day, so it looks like I will be need to hold off for a few more days I'm not unwrapping any of the remaining bottles until I'm ready to resume.

 

Definitely stealing this hashtag!

 

So I thought the last four days was crazy, today at work was even more. A long 12 hour shift but came home to my Day 6 beer and my mood changed quickly. This is a premwant and is drinking fantastic right now.



Sadly this BIF comes to an end but happy @ajaylock was my sender. Great thought out true local box, really enjoyed each day! Thanks again, will post kill shot tomorrow

Catch up time. My day 5 from @UTvols05 . Very good, lots of bourbon and vanilla.
