Northlax, when you say variants, do you mean just coffee and bw like last year? Thanks for your help on this! Look forward to the hunt tomorrow!!

Coffee, BW, and regal Rye. Coffee is scarce, BW is decent, Rye is a little less decent lol

    No rare in NJ :slight_frown:

I agree that this year's BCBS is the best I've ever had (i've only had 2012-present). It tastes like it has already been aged for a long time. No heat at all.

Completely agree. Had 2013-2015 on tap and 2015 is identical to 2013, which is astounding with the lack of two years aging.

    Lemme third that motion!

On a semi related note, I think the barleywine is somewhere between bleh and mediocre.

I'll second that. Give me a Gratitude or an Aaron.

Unless they make it like the 2013 barleywine that they left in the barrels longer I'm guessing, I'll always be disappointed with it. The 2013 was a hair below King Henry for me and very easy to get around here.

Agreed having done the BW share it's KH, Aaron, BCBW13 and it's very close between all three.

As for this year's regular (out of the bottle) it's the only thing that rivals 2013 and 2008.

Ended up scoring 1 each of Rye and Coffee in NNJ last night... It's still out there people don't accept the "no variants in NJ" line.

Definitely going to be a good line. Lot of people will probably just take lunch early to go get in line and try to get what they can.

The chance to only buy one of coffee OR rye kind of sucks, can't even get one of each. Plus, only a raffle for Rare. This could keep the lines lower, but not sure.

Yup. Had a doctor appointment so I was home from work early and the stars aligned. I'd imagine that if they got it just last night someone else out there has got to have some variants left.

I think it arrived at Hoboken Vine early in the day, sometime around lunch.

Regular and Barleywine just landed at Canal's in Marlton on Rt. 73. At $14.99 and $18.99 I had to pass.

Thanks for this. Was thinking of stepping out during my lunch break but seems I shouldn't bother.
