If they only got a case of Regal and a case of Coffee (as seemed to happen many places), that means all but the first 24 are getting shut out. We'll see!

Wegmans in Lawrenceville got the regular, barleywine and regal in. One per person, I got the regal for $22. Haven't been to Canal's yet.

Did a 2008-2014 vertical last year and every single person agreed that 2011 was the best. 2008 was 6 years old though, so there's that.

I am curious to see if people think that's the best or maybe it's guided by the hype. 2011 was probably the hardest to get since the new labels in 2009. That being said it could have to do a lot with how it was stored. Mine came from @F2brewers and I am assuming he stored it in some magical chamber (or his basement) because it was incredible.

I just got back from there, well run and quick, i estimate they got 4 cases of regal and 4 cases of coffee...

    probably still available.

EDIT: this was a sponsored even by GI, there was rep there, they had free key chains and the rep was manning the door, so they allotment was more than other stores

Just got the last regal. There was no line at the end and they allowed you back in line after everyone had a chance to go through. Reg and BW still available.

In it's prime 2008 was the king by leaps and bounds, IMO. I just had one last week and it's unfortunately over that hill

Went to 3 stores in Middletown NJ, no variants to be had. Each store was limiting purchase to 1 or 2 bottles of BCBS per customer, some (Spirits) were only selling to those on their list. I thought this year BCBS was supposed to be plentiful? I guess that might be the case anywhere but Central NJ. I have a feeling variants are around but only being sold to the beer guys buddies or store employees. Am I bitter? Maybe.

I think what happens is some stores already got it, some stores are getting it today or tomorrow, and distributors probably still have some and are waiting to see where it should go. So everyone paying $15 per bottle to make sure they don't get shut out eventually don't want / can't afford more, so when the next wave hits there are more bottles and fewer people looking for regular and barleywine. In a week or 2 you might actually see it on beermenus or even (gasp) shelves, in some NJ stores.
