Glad you liked! I enjoyed the challenge of putting this box together and hope to hang around here for future rounds.

Bring it! Not sure how I'll explain to the wife that I guy I met on the internet is bringing over empty beer bottles for me to photograph, but I'll think of something.

Seriously though, if you're ever in Fort Worth shoot me a message. I'd love to grab a beer and get that handshake tick.

Unfortunately, no kill shot :-/ ...I apologize. I didn't realize until too late that a family photo was part of the deal. A portion of the bottles have already been re-born and found happy new lives as containers for my homebrew tripel.

It needs a few months to bottle condition, but you're on the list when it's ready. Which reminds me, I need to crack your homebrew asap once my liver has recovered from the Sixer.

...although as I type that, I'm thinking maybe my liver is impervious now that I've been crushing high abv bombers all week.

 

All of my homebrews have been low-ish ABV since I figure if I'm getting a case I want it to be at least semi-sessionable. I think the one I gave you is ~6%.

Everything was so damn good. That BBA Plead the Fifth took the cake (and some of my wife's hand). I'd love to side by side the regular and BA versions. I don't think I've ever had a better BBA stout before. No Rules was also out of this world. I split this three ways and except for the high abv, really wished i kept it for myself. Thanks again so much and I promise to keep my badgering of Michigan to a minimum...

 

Glad you enjoyed. You were a challenge but I'm glad that I hopefully got you a few new ticks and a few wants. Didn't really want to send 3 from same brewery but at least CCB is probably the most well-regarded brewery in the south. Cheers Jason!

 

Would you mind sharing your template? I've been meaning to transition from online hosted cellar site to a homespun excel sheet and your set up sounds amazing!

Funny note, I also do the "how many Bud Lights is the beer equal to" calculation when drinking big brews or having a longer session. Partially for fun and partially to keep myself out of trouble (driving and otherwise).

You'll have to download and open with Excel or open in Google Sheets for it to make sense.

There's also a 'Taken Out' tab that I didn't describe before. Basically that's stuff that I've pulled from the cellar but haven't consumed yet (typically to take to a party or share, especially if it may or may not be drunk). Mainly to help with cleaning up the cellar spreadsheet the next day and can't remember exactly what I took and can't be arsed to go dig through untappd to find the bottles I brought versus ones others brought.

ETA: I've thought about doing a web front end of these so I can have a way to look at it when I'm shopping or something... but you got me to upload it to Drive which solves most of that issue

 

Out on the road today for work, had a BCBS and a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg on it for lunch. Pissing rain so hard outside I can hear it in the bar, kinda feel like having another BCBS and calling it a day.

 

Holy shit some of ya'll are organized. Sub-locations? Box 5? Shelf 3? I have currently lost an entire case of Bomb in my house. I have no idea where it is. Maybe I need a spreadsheet. Or a storage unit.

 

My mentor came over Sat. afternoon to tick a beer he's been trying to tick for a couple years and boy was it good!


@Littlelotte88 this beer definitely met our expectations! We had the haze after and it didn't even compare! Thank you again for sending it along with the extras. I owe you big time!

I'm the same way. I open boxes in the closet all the time and find beers I completely forgot about!

 

I'm just OCD enough that losing a beer would make me crazy.

 

Last weekend I actually went through and verified the contents of every box and reorganized to fill the aforementioned empty slots.

So those rumors about Florida being out of beer are true???

 

Can I borrow you for a weekend? I will feed you beer and be sure to help you with the stuff on the high shelves...or atleast give you a step ladder
